RIEDEL Vinum Oaked Chardonnay/Montrachet Set of 2

Really well packaged. Undid and washed glass. Tried a chilled Meursault which seemed to be much brighter in the glass and seemed to me tasted fuller in my mouth. Had washed and they came out sparkling and ready to use.

Riedel glasses strike about the best balance between price and quality. These are machine blown crystal and consistently high quality. This is a specific shape for Montrachet (according to Riedel) - well, white Burgundy or Chablis or Chardonnay - it doesn't really have to be Montrachet. There are fairly large glasses that show off the wine to very good effect. Worth the investment.

The only way to drink Montrachet and don't forget not to chill it too much; 15 or 16 deg C should be fine - about an hour and a half in the fridge, no more.

Having been drinking only white burgundy for years I was surprised to find there is a specific glass for white burgundy. One of the few manufacturers I could find. Beautiful glasses and does make the wine taste even better

Excellent red wine glasses (whatever they say) and they work well for big french chardonnay whites too (like they say). I prefer this shape to the classic magnum red shape because the wine is closer to the nose even if the glass is nearly empty. Many riedel red wine glasses keep the wine too far away for my tastes unless the glass is relatively full. Also the angle of the glass is not significantly different to red wine glasses either so the wine is delivered to the right part of the mouth too (whatever they say)

I quattro calici esatti sono veramente belli, ideali per un vino rosso importante, peccato l'errore nella spedizione. Anche gli altri bicchieri erano belli, ma a me servivano 8 pezzi da rosso.

Love these so much. They are so fine and delicate, and they are perfect for all my wines. I know they are designed for a specific variety, but they enhance the flavour of all I use the glasses for.

Exactly as advertised- the glass is thin and elegant, and the lip of the glass is strait and without that thick rounded edge, that for me, marks a cheap glass. These are refined, proportional, and lovely glasses. And the stems are still short enough that they fit in my cabinet.
