Beautiful Notebook
I am so happy with the quality of this notebook. The cover is gorgeous. It's got an embroidered feel to it and the thread has a sheen to it that is just beautiful. The paper is high quality and the color is beautiful as well. I will definitely purchase all of the color choices in the future.

Great quality, good paper
I bought this for Bullet Journalling, and so far it’s really great. I’m using zebra brand highlighters and gel pens, and there is no bleed through at all. The paper is thick, though probably not thick enough for alcohol markers. The cover is absolutely lovely and feels as though it’s embroidered on.

Durable and beautiful!
This is an A5 size journal, (which is 5.7 x 8.5 inches), and it's about an inch thick. The A5 seems to me to be the sort of goldilocks size for a journal, (and trust me, I've kept a lot of journals, in a whole lot of sizes). Journals much smaller than this don't really have enough room per page, (plus the cute little things have a tendency to disappear on me). But much bigger than the A5, the journal seems too heavy and bulky, and I can't fit it in my bag and cart it around. And if I don't have it with me, turns out, I don't use it . . . at least that's been my (purely anecdotal) experience. So I've been sticking with the A5 size for the last 5 or so years, and it has served me well. The sturdy hardback cover is durable as well as just absolutely lovely. I got the beige version, and the cover is encased in beautifully embroidered, brocade fabric. The photos really don't do it justice. The design has subtle metallic gold and silver highlights and luminous pearl shades, with a beautiful sheen to the embroidery when it catches the light. I wish you could see it in person. It's ten out of ten.Holding it in my hand, the texture is really lovely. Smooth and silky. And when I slotted it onto the shelf with my other journals, it totally stood out from the mostly dark and leathery crowd. It just sparkles like a princess. I can't wait to start journaling in it!The paper inside -- all 316 numbered pages of it -- seems nice and thick, but I'm not really a paper-guru. As long as my pen doesn't bleed through, I'll be happy. The pages are college ruled, (which means 7mm between the lines), but the lines are very light and unobtrusive. The paper is said to be acid free, which is important if you want to keep your ideas, or art, or stories from turning crispy and yellow. I like the color of the paper, too. Not exactly ivory (most of my other journals have paper that's that sort of yellowish ivory), but it's not glaring white either. It's actually kind of a soft, subtle lavender-ish color. (I think it's a pretty shade, but will update if it turns out to be hard on the eyes.)It also comes with a durable elastic band to hold it closed when you're not using it, and a ribbon to mark your place. There's an elastic pen holder, too, along the side. Inside the back cover, there's a nice pocket for keeping flat, non-lumpy type stuff safe. (Definitely not suitable for pens, pencils, or secret candy bar stashes, though.)I think this journal would be a fabulous gift. Especially to yourself, and especially if you always wanted to start journaling. (Please just try it, you won't be sorry!) Or for someone you care about.Daily journaling has taught me so much and been such a huge boost in my own life, I'm always encouraging everyone to try it . . . whoever, whenever, and wherever possible! Recommend times ten!

It's so pretty
The cover is beautiful, the pages are thick and this notebook begs to be written in. I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for yet, but I'm so glad I bought it. The binding is a little wobbly, but not as if it's going to fall apart, just a little unsteady. Really can't beat this quality at this price.

pink dotted journal paper thickness is not bragged about and should be
I was able to order a dotted journal from this company from another listing as well as a lined journal. The dotted journal is listed as having 160gsm paper and it is marvelously thick and allows no shadowing on the other side of the page and is GREAT with even inexpensive, rather hard-leaded colored pencils. The lined journal is 100gsm and on the high end of 100gsm quality. You can definitely tell the difference between the two paper types. On this listing where I ordered the journal I have in front of me now, the dotted paper option is not described, only the lined paper is. That's a shame. I'm not a paper expert, but I'd bet good money that this dotted journal is made with the same 160gsm paper that they use for their other dotted journals of the same size because it is delightfully thick. So as you are choosing, know that there is this difference. The dotted journal provides a much thicker paper. I love a dotted (or even blank) page, even better if I can use more writing tools on it because of good paper. The only way I was able to create any bleed through on this page was to use the wide tip of an alcohol marker, and I was just really doing that to push limits. My fountain brush pen for Chinese character writing usually is the limit finder with journal paper, but even that, with a wide brush stroke left no shadow on the reverse side of this dot paper. So I'm tickled! I have ordered three journals from this company and the fabric covers are just super charming in person and the paper is very good quality, whether you wind up with nice thick 160gsm dotted, or their 100gsm lined for writing.

Pretty, Well-Made, Generous Size
I was suprised and impressed when I opened up this journal. It is sturdy, the pages are very thick, and you get a lot of journal to work with! The cover is pretty, with a fabric texture and raised embroidered floral design. There is an elastic band to hold it closed and a ribbon to mark pages, as well as an elastic pen loop. The elastic band did indent the top edge of the journal covers a bit, but that is the only flaw I have noticed. They are nevertheless very thick covers and should hold up well. The pages have a nice light-colored grid and are very thick. The photo of the spread page is one single page- you could use a heavy hand or "bleedy" pens and be just fine. I like the grid concept as a variation on lines, and that the journal is available with either option if you wanted lines instead. The pages are also numbered (unobtrusively too), which I like a lot for reference purposes. This is really a great value for the price and I highly recommend it.
