Use this for Toyota transmissions requiring 75W GL4
When it came time to change the transmission fluid in my Toyota Corolla 6-speed I purchased and installed Amsoil 75W-90 GL4 manual transmission fluid. BIG MISTAKE. Cold shifting became nearly impossible and even warm shifts weren't as smooth as they should be. I was incredibly disappointed as I have used Amsoil products in the past with great results, but not this time.I purchased this Ravenol 75W to swap out the crappy Amsoil and I'm glad I did. Shifts the way it should now, hot or cold. I was really impressed with the bottle design of the Ravenol which includes a built-in spout. Works like a charm!I will definitely be purchasing Ravenol again at the next fluid change! Great stuff!

if you have a toyota 4x4 truck you need this for the transfer case
the newer toyota 4x4 s use this 75w in the transfer case do not use 75/80 or 90 these trans cases use electromagnets to engage it needs this lighter oil to operate correctly i have a 2017 tundra and the toyota brand 75w was $80 a quart this oil is toyota approved

Help.
Can someone confirm I'd I recived the wrong item on the left? I decided to buy a 2nd bottle incase I didn't have enough when changing the oil in my transfer case for my Toyota and I notice that one says manual transmission instead of the German writting on the right which is exactly the picture when ordering.

Efficient Bottle Design
I couldn’t find this information in the description or in pictures, but the bottle itself contains a full system for pouring the fluid into the transfer case, I have a 2017 Tundra and was able to use the incorporated pouring system without any other external pumps or funnels to replace my fluid. Essentially it contains a tube that you pull up through the top of the container and allows you to pour/squeeze the fluid into the transfer case.A WORD OF CAUTION: Be gentle with it, make sure you understand how to open it before you start yanking on it or you will pull the tubing straight out or make it leaky.

Excellent alternative to Toyota's high-priced version
Recently hit 30k miles on my 2014 Toyota Tundra CrewCab and wanted to perform the recommended maintenance on my front/rear diffs as well as the transfer case. In my past Toyota's (all have been 4Runners), I typically used the same gear oil (75w90 synthetic) in the transfer case as I did in the diffs. My original intention was to do the same on my Tundra. However as I was doing some research on the necessary fluid quantity, I discovered that in 2014, Toyota changed suppliers for the transfer case (From a Japanese supplier to Borg-Warner). As a part of that change, the recommended gear oil changed as well. For the transfer case Borg-Warner (and Toyota) specifically call out 75W (not 75w85 or 90). Good thing I researched a bit...I almost screwed up.Unfortunately 1 liter of OEM 75W costs over $54 at my local stealership. Even worse, since I need 1.3 liters for a drain/refill I'm forced to buy 2 liters and let .7 Liter ($38 worth) go unused! No thanks.Fortunately more online research led me to Ravenol and Amazon. As the front of the bottle states, Ravenol J1C1003 SAE 75W is a fully synthetic direct replacement for the OEM Toyota gear oil (Part # 08885-81081 which in turn is the European part # for the U.S version 08885-81080). Ravenol is FAR more affordable and better yet, it comes with an ingenious built-in fill-spout. Seriously, Mobil1, Royal Purple and other gear-oil suppliers could take a lesson from this container design. Using the built in spout, I was able to fill my X-fer case without spilling a single drop (other than when the fill hole began to weep once it was full). If you have a Toyota and requires 75W and you can't stomach the price of the OEM - give the Ravenol a try.

Excellent German oil! It covers the specifications for the Toyota oil with part no. 8885-81001.
Very high quality German product that cover the Toyota specifications. It covers the TOYOTA specifications for oil with part no. 8885-81001.At my last oil change I used Amsloil 75W90 which it says on the label it covers the specs for TOYOTA/Lexus manual transmissions. I ended up with very rough shifting in low temp. around 32°F (0°C) and even after the car warms up. It was horrible. The Ravenol oil I put yesterday it brought back the smooth buttery shifting I had before the Amsoil. Highly recommend this oil for TOYOTA manual transmission.

Olio trasmissione ECCEZIONALE
