Superb Travel Modem
Modem concentrated on travel oriented task and does well in utilising mobile internet, LAN internet, USB Modem and HOTSPOT.One downside is during power up WiFi get error in connection and resolve automatically after 5 min. Issue persists even after updating to latest firmware and every powering on device. And during open box USB CABLE MISSING, cannot claim since not taken video

Budget portable WiFi NAS for iPad (6.xx MB/s over wifi5)
Background:I needed a Wi-Fi based NAS and had bought the TL-WR902AC V1 version a few years back, which I ended up bricking while trying out OpenWRT. Eventually bought 'RavPower FileHub' which worked well for over 3 years and would give a rate of about 2MB/s. Needed a replacement and filehub's are not sold anymore. The TL-WR902AC is the only decent mini Wi-Fi NAS in India as of now. The 'GL.iNet' routers are overpriced here for some reason. Also, the V3 version presently being sold solves most of the problems which plagued it previously.Do update the firmware as the functionality is much improved after update with SMBv2 support. The V3 version I received is US version, and not the 'EU version' as mentioned on the TP-Link India website, check before updating firmware. The firmware update supported smbv2 and supports even the native iOS Files app. In iOS -> connect to server -> 'smb://192.168.0.1' -> guest as the user and viola, the files app will recognise SMB drive. It's even easier in Windows and Android. As a NAS Drive, I get up to 6.3 MB/s sustained read write speeds over wifi5 when connected to an SSD.Cons--The WR902AC only recognises fat32 and NTFS, exFAT is not supported. (Tip: SSD with exFAT does not support TRIM, stick with NTFS)-No Battery, needs external micro-USB supply (no usb-c).-Single USB2.0 portOverall, happy with the performance. Especially recommended for iPad users which forces lots of compatibility restrictions. It is a good enough for streaming and media consumption. Was able to play 4k files easily. Have not used it with a 3G/4G dongle or used it to convert wired signal to wifi, so cant say anything about these use case scenario.

Very Low range
It increases the speed of the connection to arround twice but the range of the device is limited to a single room.

Best ever portable router.
Below are the detailed points experienced.1. This has both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz band, which is the most imp point of this router.2. The speed I have tested it is up to the par. Nothing lacking in that part.3. Range is pretty decent.4. You'd be needing micro usb to power this router- thankfully they have provided this cable and brick. But I hope someday they will shift to Type C USB.5. There is a entire list of numerous setting as if it was a dedicated dial up router which we use as a main router. Although i have never tested whether we could configure or not for that purpose. But settings are present you can give it a try6. For USB dongle, you can use the one which are plug and play ones and not the ones which we need a software to install and then use it. So make sure if you ever use the USB dongle it should be plug and play.7. At first router takes times to load maybe the power which I was providing was not enough. It seems to require more power than usual portable router. Don't worry it can work on power bank.

Helps you scrape by
Writing this after 6 months of use.Currently I am in a place where I have limited number of devices which I can connect to the internet. So the hotspot mode originally was a god send. I can connect as many devices as I want. This also allowed me to run a LAN serverHowever the router has its own issues. It breaks down constantly by turning red requiring you to unplug and replug it every time. Even while doing LAN operations it just fails. Also forget about gaming or anything else. This breaks down really fast and is inadvisable for online gaming. It's decent for streaming and downloading something less than 1 GB.

Works well, can make a 5tb hdd as a wifi hdd
was bought primarily to convert normal ntfs hdd to wifi hdd, after the usual tp link setup, I set the device in hotspot mode,i wirelessly connectedto the home wifi for wifi sharing, then plugged in a 5tb hdd in usb slot, now that 5tb hdd is accessible wirelessly after typing in \\192.168.0.1 in any file sharing software like cx explorer on mobile phone.its a handy way to access big size hdd on mobile phone
