I haven't tried this with the app, I am not sure I need to control an ice maker through an app, but I have tested its ability to make ice. And for that purpose it works well - the first set of large ice cubes took 6 minutes, and it took about 8 minutes thereafter for additional sets. It does 9 cubes at a time.I should point out that this was done in a somewhat cool indoor environment, the temperature was probably somewhere around 18C at the time. If in a hotter environment the cubes would take longer to form.The ice is fairly uniform, just a little variation between some of the cubes. The term cubes is a bit misleading as they are bullet shaped as advertised - rounded cylinders which are hollow from one end.The cubes didn't seem to have any unpleasant flavour off the first batch - I was expecting the first batch to be a bit plastic tasting but I couldn't detect any flavour at all from them.The interior surfaces are mostly smooth and are fairly easy to clean. The ice making assembly is tucked back a bit, hopefully that doesn't need cleaning as it is a bit of a challenge to reach directly but with a brush it shouldn't be too hard to reach if needed. The way it works, it shouldn't really need cleaning on that assembly anyway so long as fresh clean water is always used.I am pleased that this has proper electrical certification for use in Canada (and the US) - it is cETLus certified so good for both sides of the border. So many products sold online these days are lacking that very important electrical safety certification so I like to point out the products that are properly certified.This looks like a well made product, I hope it lasts well.The only issue I had, and it was minor and alluded to in the instructions, is that it took a while for it to register that it had water - it was showing the "add water" light after the first few attempts to make ice. I think perhaps it needs some time after adding water for the sensor to read that there is water, not sure why. Aside from that it worked as expected and was easy to use.

My fridge doesn't have an ice maker and bagged ice takes up too much room. I leave it to run all the time. If it fills with ice, it stops making it automatically, and as the ice melts because you're not using any, it creates room for more. The machine will use the water from the melted ice to make more. It will tell you if it is full or if it needs more water. It's fairly quiet too, which surprised me. I love how I can control it through the app which was easy to install and learn how to use. The ice is made in a small bullet shape so it melts fairly quickly but it is a lot better than losing half of a small freezer to bagged ice or ice trays. Worth the price and countertop space in my opinion.

I have always used ice cube trays to make ice but they are awkward and take up so much room in my freezer. I don't have an ice maker in my fridge so when I saw this ecozy Smart ice maker countertop version, I couldn't wait to give it a try!It was so easy to set up! I filled the water to the maximum level in the tank, set the size of the cube to large and turned it on. Not long after I could hear the ice being fed into the basket by the machine. The ice cubes have a hollow center so are perfect for drinks!I ran the machine again but for small ice cubes. While I did not notice a huge difference in the size, it did seem that it sped up the ice production.There is an app that you can download and use ito control the machine remotely. You can set a schedule for the machine to make the ice automatically. It does work well and was easy to connect to my Wi-Fi.The only improvement I could see would be for them to add a bracket or holder for the ice scoop. As it is now, it just sits randomly on my counter.I absolutely love this little ice making machine. It functions well and quickly, is easy to clean and can be operated manually or through the app on the phone. A quality product in my opinion! 5/5 stars from me!

Less noisy than bigger model, it gives nice ice cubes in short period. The app is easy to use and give you the ability to run machine at distance (is it so needed?....).A good device if you need often ice cubes and do no want to take some room in freezer.
