This is good....I use it monthly in my home to prevent any flea infestation as I have a few dogs.

Firstly to clarify for others that uvc light bulbs aren’t effective in daylight as the level of rays recuced by daylight. Using these bulbs in day light is what causes them to break quickly. If you stick to using it in the dark you will get a far longer life from it. Another thing to be aware of which is not included in the instructions is the light machine directly on the surface where the bacteria or germs are for the full effect. I’m also aware from a safety perspective. These types of products aren’t advised and I can see why the instructions advise you to phil ventilate the room for an hour after use however you have to actually enter the room to open the windows to ventilator which is not safe. Trying to do this without breathing in the ozone can be quite tedious.

Do your own research on UVC / Ozone devices. They have, in my opinion, greatly exaggerated the potential benefits whilst minimising the high risk to health (not to mention the odious, pervasive smell) of the ozone gas generated.

This is a large halogen style bulb with an E27 screw-style fitting. It says not to look at it but people, pets, plants should not be in the room when it is turned on. Also, the room should be ventilated for 1 hour after to air out the ozone. So we have this plugged into a lamp and then use an extension cord to plug into a socket outside the room. This way you can switch it on and off without ever being in the room while it's working. Not sure whether it needs to shine directly on a surface to work. It says it covers 55sqm. Better information would be helpful on how to use it most effectively. I've no way to test whether it's killing germs, dust mites, etc. But get an added sense of security using this. Particularly in the kitchen after cleaning surfaces with ordinary dish washing liquid. Much prefer to use this than chemical cleaners. Think we all eat and breathe way too many chemicals these days so this helps reduce the overall toxic load. Says will last 5000 hours. Hope that helps.

Not sure how long it was on for because I wasn't in the room for obvious reasons. But when I returned, it was off and won't turn on again. Disappointed
