I am really satisfied with this purchase. I bought the roof rails in conjunction with the Vevor roof rack for a cross country move. It held perfectly. Didnt move an inch even doing almost 80 for most of the day. It was so easy to install. The product is pretty straight forward and the directions are clear. It fit my Nissan perfectly. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR ROOF SIZE.

Bars and ratchet straps are too short to fit as described for a 2024 RAV4 Extremely difficult assembly due to cheaply made parts that are supposed to flush my fit together (they don’t) Took 3 hours of tinkering before finally giving up due to being less than 1in too short. One side would pop off every time the other was tightened. Waste of time and customer service was ineffective. Please take the Toyota RAV4 out of the description for sizing.

Just installed my rack on a 2013 Nissan Leaf. I can see why there are some many mixed reviews of this product. The rack components and packaging look good. There are many component I improvements that need addressing, and I’m hoping the manufacturer reads these reviews. The ratcheting system needs a redesign. The designer was going for a tool less design but failed. A simple screwdriver worm gear mechanism would work much better. The carriage bolt doesn’t seat properly leading installers to over tighten. The nuts need to be locking or thread locker supplied. The plastic bases need an increased wall thickness, especially the 2 ribs either side of the nut. There’s a hole at the top of the keyed latch that is going to let rain into the latch mechanism. There needs to be a rubber gasket to seal the keyed latch. I could go on but enough for now. Given how inexpensive this was, I’m going to modify it and make it work. For those of you less handy, don’t buy.

Fits my Hyundai Accent, seems to work well enough. You will hear it whistle at speeds over 40 mph. The only thing i don't like about it is the process of taking it off. That little wrench they give you doesn't give you enough leverage to spring the ratchet mechanism. Sticking a heavy flat blade screwdriver behind the release lever, it released by only one click Went to the other side, released that end by one click. That was enough to pull it off. Make sure you have it where you want it before tightening it down because repositioning it will be a hassle. Figuring out how to release it really sucks.

Don't buy these. I have used them 4 times since I purchased them less than a year ago. I don't leave them on my car - I take them off between uses. The strap mechsnynever worked well, it was really hard to get it to release. But now the tightening mechanism also isn't working on two of the sides. I tried swapping out the little rachet strep thing but it didn't make a difference. Poor design, very frustrating to use, at least if you don't plan to leave it in your car all the time. Also was pretty loud when driving. I wouldn't but this again.

The “ratchet system” doesn’t even ratchet properly. It just clicks once you get it so tight but it’s not even close to being tight enough. One little shove and it pops right off. Do not buy these if you actually intend on using them to haul things. Just for show… sure. But don’t trust these with any weight. Terrible design
