Very happy so far with this, it's been installed for several weeks now and the battery seems to be lasting well. It was not too tricky to set-up, took my time reading it and checking height and angles for set-up.The app is easy enough to navigate and use. Not had many doorbell calls to answer yet, but it seems to work well.

The build quality feels really good and it doesn't appear cheap and tacky. I can connected the doorbell relatively easy to the Reolink app. That's quite a good range of view from the camera however it does make the image quite a fisheye lens in appearance.I connected the doorbell to my Wi-Fi and found the doorbell on my NVR system. It does record to the nvr as well as the home base option and SD card. The only problem I found is that it doesn't record 24/7 and only records when motion is activated.The other issue I faced was that when it was linked to my echo show it was intermittent as to whether the footage would load. The other problem I found is that when the footage loaded on my echo show and I tried to answer the doorbell on my phone it would state I could only talk via one app at a time. This is probably just a software issue and I've explained this to Reoink support services so I'm confident it will be fixed in an update in the near future.

Brilliant piece of kit had to get a friend to install it and organise my mobile phone and lap top. Otherwise absolutely marvellous.

I bought this in the BF sale last year and only recently got round to install it to replace my old Ring Video Doorbell 2 (was waiting for the subscription to expire).While this is a somewhat negative review, I'll start by saying that I love Reolink gear, I've got an RLN36 NVR and 15 of their cameras in total, various models and in general they can't be beaten for features, quality and price point.The new Video Doorbell 2K is also a great device in principle, good quality and loads of features. I'm using it on a 24V AC power supply (the original mechanical chime has been removed) to keep the battery trickle charged and via 5GHz WiFi. All good so far.Since installing the doorbell though I've found the battery drain is terrible. I understand that generally speaking battery life is always a compromise between settings on the device, so tweaking the PIR sensitivity and other adjustments can help.However, there's IMO two problems with the doorbell as it stands.The first is that when it's awake, it no longer charges the battery from the wired PSU. The reasoning for this is that IF you have a mechanical chime installed (i.e. the mechanical chime is providing power to the doorbell) then keeping the doorbell being charged from the PSU while the doorbell is awake *might* activate the chime, which would obviously be unwanted behaviour.That's fine, but I don't have a mechanical chime installed, just the PSU, so there's no reason why the doorbell shouldn't *still* be charged in my particular install scenario.The second is that while the doorbell obviously has to wake up when you intentionally view the live stream via the App, desktop client or in my case the NVR monitor screen, it also wakes up even when not *intentionally* viewing the live stream.By that I mean that if you view a different camera on the App, desktop client or NVR monitor screen, when you return back to the matrix / grid view of all the cameras, the doorbell is "refreshed" along with all the other cameras, forcing it to wake up, even though you do not intentionally wish to view it.The result is that in the space of a few days, the battery is entirely flat because the doorbell spends far too much time being awake (when it won't be charged) and not enough time being asleep (when it would be charged).Currently I'm waiting for Reolink to confirm that these are indeed bugs and that they intend to fix them, else I guess I'll be looking at raising a return for the doorbell.As a side note, the old Ring Video Doorbell 2 operated fine in exactly the same setup for many, many years - I only decided to replace it so I could ditch the yearly subscription and move to a local NVR integrated doorbell.

I bought this to replace my Ring doorbell following the hiking of their monthly charge. As I have numerous Reolink cameras connected to a Reolink NVR it made sense to get a Reolink video doorbell, big mistake!My idea of a video doorbell is one that 'rings' the phone when the button is pressed - allowing the user to immediately connect with the caller and see them on the screen. This doorbell will only send a basic push notification to the phone, which the user must then interact with to get it to open the Reolink app and connect the video stream. Yes - it can send a 'rich' notification (just a basic notification with a picture) if you subscribe to their monthly plan.Functionality is then reduced even further if the doorbell is connected to NVR, meaning to get the best out of it one has to run it as a standalone camera and use a MicroSD card in the camera for recording events.If Reolink make a doorbell that 'rings' the phone when the doorbell is pressed (as most other video doorbell's do) then I may try it again, but for now it's being returned as unsuitable.

Great piece of kit for the moneyGreat picture qualityOnly problem is, it does not record to the NVR like the nomal (non1:1) doorbells do.Yes this can be sorted with the SD card but still a nice feature to have with the others.

Installation was a breeze so long as you read the instructions. App is basic however it does perform basic doorbell tasks very well such as 2 way speech and event recordings. I use an SD card to record the event however I have also tried it over FTP and it works just as well, however to keep network use and battery usage down I've chosen to use the SD card.A couple downsides to this though which may be a network issue or may be a software issue with the doorbell, slowness. Sometimes when the doorbell is rang, it will take anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds for the Alexa integration to ring. However app notifications appear within 1-2 seconds, the same as my previous Ring doorbell.Also viewing events on the SD card is slow, whether that be on the local network or out of the house. This is not too much of an issue as it isn't time critical however 5-10 seconds to load a clip is very slow.

As I couldn't wire one in, this is very good
