Disappointed that there is no mention of the tea coming from China. I found it easy to assume that, like the other brands of mate tea which I’ve experienced, it comes from the same hemisphere of origin. However the package clearly identified this as a product of China, which I assume is where at least the packaging takes place. I prefer to provide more direct support to the area from which the tea derives (all Yerba mate is grown in South America), and I feel a little uneasy of teas that have to make that trip prior to packaging and subsequent distribution.

I wish this company was transparent about the material of the tea bag itself. I tried composting these bags as I have with previous teabags, but noticed no degradation after many months. This was how I discovered these bags contain plastic, which is especially problematic due to the VERY high ingestion rate of microplastics from hot tea bags in comparison to solutions like bottled water. I emailed the company directly with questions about their bags and received no response. I will not be continuing my subscription and will be switching to another company who cares more about the health of their customers.

Absolutely loved the concoction

Great tea, but I have quickly learned to pull the glued-on paper that attaches the string to the tea bag off with caution! HAHA. Lost a few tea bags because it rips a hole in the bag if you just pull it off.
