Finally We Have Crystal Clear Water!
We have Well Water, which everyone should know isn't the cleanest or purest water in the world. Our main water system has filters and a water softener. The quality of our water varies all the time. Our aquarium is 125 gallons. We clean the tank filters weekly and vacuum with a 1/4 water change every month. We have had this tank for 10+ years and the clarity of our aquarium's water has never been up for an award.Thought I'd take a chance on these EcoBio Blocks. Within 2 weeks, our fishie's aquarium water became Crystal Clear! Yes, That's Right. We Finally We Have Crystal Clear Water!Yes, it is a pricey investment, but it's Totally worth the end result! EcoBio Blocks claim the stones last at least 2 years. The Blocks are much larger and heavier than I had expected, no big deal. I use plants to help blend them into the natural green leafy decor."Ondersave" is the manufacturer. The following is from their website:"EcoBio-Block’s unique formula contains powerful, beneficial bacteria that keep water clear and odor-free."I wanted to know more specifics about the beneficial bacteria, but rightfully it is their top secret formula. We are Super Thrilled with these EcoBio-Blocks! And I'm sure our fishies are happy too! Wish I had found these years ago! Will definitely purchase these again.

Great Stone
I couldn't believe this rock. It cleared up my 30-gal tank in a couple days. I used one rock in my tank. I highly recommend this stone if your tank is cloudy. Works great. I tried all kinds of methods to clear my tank, and this did it. I put it close to bubbler as recommended.

Good but ugly
It doesnt work instantly, it clears cloudy bb blooms cuz it gives them a place to live and breed, i found that having 2 in a 55 has significantly cut down on my bb use, mine are about 2 years old, i always scrub and lightly rinse every water change, yea they are ugly and big, but i believe when i was more of a novice they kinda saved my ass, in my experience, its a good home for plenty of bb, my tank doesnt smell i dunno if its cuz i do regular water changes and filter maitenance, or the stones, i dont think they do everything they claim to, but definitely a good place for ur bb to live

2 excellent cannister filters
Long review but I felt it was needed.I ordered 2 Medium Eco-Bio Block Stones 02/22/17.I have a 300 gallon cichlid tank. Had cichlids over 20 years. 2 excellent cannister filters. Have always had good tank care. Even with great water circulation and appropriate scheduled tank management after approx 3-5 days, I would sit and think 'I wish I could change my polisher pads' but as with most things in life....it would fall down on my priority list and they would be changed with my routine filter care. That was a constant occurrence for years. I loved to sit and enjoy my freshly maintained water that was crystal clear for that 3-5 days after my scheduled maintenance. But the really beautiful clarity left too quickly.Little did I know that was the least of my upcoming problems. Sadly, my water well has since failed and is testing VERY high with nitrates. 160ppm or possibly even more....so sad!I am thankful that fish can acclimate and mine have done incredible but I am unable to purchase any new fish or to give any to other tanks due to the drastic chemistry. Water changes actually tend to increase my nitrates....I can give my children bottled water and insure my family is safe but a 300 gallon fresh water tank....posed a more complicated situation.Fast forward to my search for a momentary solution (until we can get a new well) for my fish that I have had for years and did not want to loose.PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS AS AN OPEN DOOR TO CRITICIZE ME OR MY PRACTICES....This novel is intended to help someone that may possibly be in the same situation as I was. There is no product that will help high nitrates that are already established in your planned supply of water. They must be naturally balanced. To anyone who has had fresh water fish for years and they have done just great and then all of a sudden...you notice new fish don't thrive and usually end up dying....check your water. You may grow complacent to your established system and variables CAN change without you being aware. Now for my review. I just wanted to help anyone that really wants to know how these things work....I wanted to give some of my history so I could establish my perspective.I did a test run in a pitcher of water with a air stone under the eco-bio stones. I used my established tank water and checked my nitrates and pH approximately every 12 hours for each water specimen. I wanted to accurately measure effectiveness. Within 48 hours the pH in the pitcher went through the roof!...I expected that, so warning....you have remember the chemistry of nitrate, pH and hardness balance. It was a gradual process...no sudden spikes. However, I was shocked at the fact that my nitrates came down to 40ppm within 48 hrs!....Remember, I started at 160ppm and very possibly higher than that....I was amazed! Now just under two weeks later, my water is amazing! It has looked as if I have changed my polisher pads every day!!!! I love that!!! My nitrates sadly....are the same but I guess...considering the size of my tank....it is not a surprise. The information sheet does say 2-4 weeks....not to mention, I'm sure my fish would not fare well if it did suddenly decrease and my water chemistry changed drastically. I am completely happy with the results and that it even without the nitrate component,,,,the clarity is incredible!!!So, I would highly recommend the purchase of these stones! In fact, I just purchased two more Medium Stones for my tank and a Small Stone for my son's small goldfish tank!

Do not buy
In theory, these seemed like a great idea. When they arrived, they are HUGE. Like half a brick size. And you have to put both in the tank and there is absolutely no hiding them. They immediately made my tank is extremely cloudy and so I finally took them out after two weeks and trashed them.

Great value, decent results
Used both stones in a 40 gallon breeder tank, as I've been having extreme difficulty keeping ammonia down. After trying everything I turned to this product and my ammonia has gone down to zero after about a month, whether thanks to the stones I'm not sure, but they definitely have had an impact, and the porous nature of the stones allows for bacteria to flourish regardless. Great price compared to pet stores, just one of these in a petco or petsmart will set you back 30 bucks, so two for 30 is a great deal. Customer service of the company is great as well. Definitely recommend.

Water Still Foggy
I have 2 of these in a 50 gallon cube with an amazing filtration system. These claim to clear the water however this is not the case for me. I bought water clarifyer to see if that would help.

Biostones
These really helped my tank to clear up. They work like a charm. I had problems with bacterial bloom and NOTHING worked. I put these in after water change and gravel vac along with Accuclear and have had a crystal clear tank for the past two weeks.
