I have had several Remington products over the years & they have always been reliable and long-lasting. That's why I chose this hairdryer. But boy, it's heavy! The weight makes it uncomfortable for me to use properly due to a health issue. Sadly, I had to return it the same day, unused. Never really considered the weight of a hair dryer until now but there you go. I gave this hairdryer 5 stars because it is sturdy, looks and feels like high quality, the price is right and based on my experience with Remington products, it would have been a keeper if not for my problematic shoulder! Just one of those things. I immediately ordered a lighter Remington instead.

Great product. Only thing that annoyed me about this purchase was the fact that it was a Christmas gift and when it was delivered it turned up in it's box with a label and no external packaging so when it was left at the door the person who it was for saw what it was.

The reviews are in general true that the hair dryer is on the heavier side. I believe this hairdryer was designed with the intention of being better suited to salon use rather than home use, which is probably the reason why it is so heavy. It is also quite long - with the concentrator connected, I need to stretch my arm out straight to use it, so it is a bit tiring if you are doing it for a long time. Luckily the drying power is really good so I don't have to hold it for too long. The hairdryer comes in 2 power levels and 3 temperatures and I haven't tried out the 2nd power level yet as I found the 1st one good enough for my use. My hair is rather thick and a bit coarse, and I can tell the hairdryer does leave my hair softer and smoother after drying compared to my previous hairdryer. Another downside other than being heavy is that it is quite loud, which could be a problem if you're a student living in thin-walled dorms who also likes taking late night/ early morning showers like I do. However I think considering the value of money and the function it is a good purchase for me, just don't buy if you want a lightweight hairdryer but if you don't mind a slightly heavier one as long as it dries well and leaves your hair smoother than this is the one.

I have a thic wavy hair, quite long, and this hair dryer does the job. I don't like the diffuser so much, i was disappointed, because it's to small for my dense hair. But other than that, it's a pretty good hair dryer for this price. I've used small hair dryers in the past, this was my first "bulky" dryer and I can't find anything wrong with it. The lowest heat setting is almost cold, so it's not damaging the hair. I follow CGM and this has passed my test. I've been using it last few weeks and I'm really happy with it. I still can't manage the diffusing, but i don't blame my hair dryer, my hair is too long for it, at least for this diffuser. I'll update my review in the future when i try to use it to straighten my hair with the brush, but it seems to me it's gonna work just fine, cause the highest heat and speed setting are quite powerful. So far, I'd recommend it to anyone with the curly hair because of the low heat setting. And also, lowest speed setting is satisfying. It seems heavy at first, especially if you never used big hair dryer (like me), but after few minutes you'll figure it out. It's not to heavy for me, my arms don't hurt when using it. For this price i couldn't ask for more. I'm planning to pair it with bigger diffuser though.

Great hair dryer. Perfect for my curls and the length of my hair. Slightly on the heavy side but not an issue. Settings great and parts that come with are fantastic. Good value for money. No complaints

Bought this as a present for someone with frizzy hair and it's made a significant difference for her drying time and the overall appearance of her hair. Now it dries a lot smoother and straighter. Hairdryer is lovely and is well built. Would highly recommend!

Feels good quality build, if a little on the heavy side compared to my last hairdryer. But not a problem, just see it as an extra workout for my arm! The dryer works quickly, does not leave hair frizzy or fluffy, hair does actually feel softer and more conditioned on drying. I use the dryer with the diffuser attachment on medium heat (which is warm not hot) and finish with a cool blast to set. Was a little sceptical about the oil infusion thing but I can honestly say i do notice a difference and I have mad curly but fine hair that has a life of its own. This dryer has tamed the hair beast! Very happy with purchase and would not hesitate to recommend.
