Avoid seller - hit & miss
The item was defective! It would only work when on the charger, the side tapping did not work. Even the box was broken when I began unboxing. I should’ve read the reviews before buying, it seems to be a hit and miss as some are pleased, but many buyers seem to have the exact same issues with their items.

Defective item
I do not recommend to buy anything from this seller (distributor). The seller has delivered a defective item. The item does not work as it is advertised - the tap right/left side does not work. The player does not work on battery. The battery does not charge. Placing the figurine does not activate the playback (playback only works when i disconnect/reconnect the electricity). The speaker was bought as a Christmas present, as a result it was opened after the 2 weeks of the official return slot. When the problem was detected (upon opening and setting up the player), the seller was uncompromising. They refused to replace the item. They refused to deal to rectify the situation.

Works only when it’s connected to base !
Had it for a month and gave it to my son after the return window closed to Amazon , discovered it’s definitely defected as it only works if it’s connected to power and the forward and back option doesn’t work , complete waste of money .

The Toniebox Audio Player Starter Set has been such a wonderful addition to our home! My child absolutely loves picking out their Tonies and listening to stories and songs — all without a screen. The sound quality is great, and the soft, durable design makes it perfect for little hands (and a few inevitable drops!). Setup was super easy, and I love that it’s portable — great for car rides or bedtime routines. The Playtime Tonie is a nice touch, letting us upload our own recordings or music. It’s fun, educational, and engaging — truly one of the best gifts for young kids! 🌈🎧💖

This is an amazing toy/music/story player. Children of all ages can enjoy this and I love the fact it doesn’t have a screen but can keep a child entertained for just as long. Only downfall is the cost of each character.
