It's a nice stone but it's substantially lighter than I would like for amethyst, but it's definitely an amethyst, but it's just personal preference it's a very pretty stone and worth what I paid for it,

I have ordered from this vendor before and was very happy with most of the orders. However, there were a few other times I was skeptical of authenticity like for the malachite and turquoise stones. This time I ordered a tiger eye. However, there were none of the characteristic striations and variations in light that are typical of tiger eye. It just looks like a polished brown rock. See photo.
