Love,love,love my dehydrator. In the summer I put it on the porch so it doesn't create heat in the house. I have ran this almost nonstop at times and it works a dream. Very light weight,so easy to use, very durable,fits into itself so it doesn't take up lots of space, a little noisy inside so it was mostly used outside..

I was making deer jerky and needed more trays. I didn't want to have to make jerky day last two days. I found two trays here for a great price and they were even delivered next day (which never happens) way to go Amazon. They're a perfect fit and not knock off wannabes. If you need more racks, get them here.

The Presto dehydrator with timer is a game changer. i use it all of the time to make fruit jerky and fruit rollups. The max number of trays that my presto dehydrator can have is 12. The trays are expensive but I purchased a few at time until I got to 12. The trays just look and feel like the originals. We wash them by soaking them in water and have them flipped up to fit into our sink then taking a fruit brush and scrubbing them. We put them into the oven to completely dry them. Oven is off but it still emits some heat because its gas.

I got my Presto Model 6300 dehydrator about 6 years ago and love it. I use my dehydrator throughout the summer to dry peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears and sometimes in the winter, especially for bananas. The one drawback was that it only came with 4 trays. I have fruit trees, so I have an ample supply to use and 4 trays was not enough. To help with throughput, I bought 4 more trays 5 years ago. The manual says it can use up to 8 trays, so this would be perfect. In reality, I have found that 8 trays is too much, causing excessive drying time. I cap out at 6 trays normally, and sometimes spill over to 7. Having at least 2 extra trays is definitely worth it. The one drawback as others have noted is that they are a little difficult to clean. These are the same trays that come with the unit so the issue is with the original trays. Bits of fruit get into the crevices where the ribs meet. To clean them, I wash them in the sink and use a nylon vegetable scrubber to get into the crevices.

Worked as described. I dehydrate jalapenos and the seeds fall through the openings in the shelves. Works good. I only needed a couple.

This unit is GREAT and awesome ,made today 6 trays(unit had 4 trays and I purchased extra set of 2) made ground beef jerky in 7 hours and thin top round seaks in 4 hours,700 watts makes a great difference,my old one only 150 watts..what a difference,,lowest priced on a 700 watts dehydrator, will get me 2 extra trays to complete maximun usage.so i do not have to use my electric oven anylonger I do HIGHLY recommend thisfantastis strong,well built and esay to use,clean and store...just buy it. Pd: get a wall/plug timer type( same for Xmas tree control lights ) ,i had one and saved $40.00 from buying s dehydarator with a built in timer....

Works great for Jerky! Just what the doctor ordered! I kept running out of room making jerky and would often have to run 2-3 batches to dry everything out. Now I can get most of it done in 1.5 batches! I haven't noticed any difference in the quality of the jerky using 6 shelves instead of 4. They fit perfectly on the dehydrator and stack nicely as well. Seem to be the real deal!
