Cursed Tides - Great Game!
This card game came up in my feed when ordering another card based game - it was a great price and family are into pirates so I took a chance and ordered them - it was a great choice as we have been playing it since Christmas Day, and is better than the original (more expensive) game that I ordered. Game play is fast and easy to learn, but offers the opportunity for a depth of strategy and tactics in order to beat your foes and get your three fleets completed. Moreover, while the game comes with game play rules and explanatory notes, the cards themselves have all you need on them to play without referring back to the sheets. Fantastic and addictive, and the element of chance from the shuffling and turn of the cards means that each player has a chance to win.

Good but a copy of the "Monodeal" game
Overall this is a pretty fun card game. And that's not surprising because the rules are an exact copy of the rules of the popular card game "Monopoly Deal" which is fun itself. So that doesn't leave much to review I guess since they did not invent anything when it comes to the game itself. The cards are of average quality (I collect playing cards so I know what I'm talking about), the design of the faces is pretty good, but the back design is extremely bland. The box is good though, it has two stacks of cards but has a divider to prevent them mixing together.Overall for £11.99 at the time of review, it is one pound cheaper than the game it copies, so I guess that's a win? I removed 1 star because it's not an original game.

Average quality cards with AI generated images
The images and art on these cards appears to be AI generated from my perspective. If they aren't then I would be very surprised, but it feels like a bit of a cop-out and all too generic. The card quality is also relatively low with the cards coming in quite thin calling into question long term durability of them. The instructions could do with re-wording as they were relatively awkward to comprehend for anyone that isnt massively familiar with such style of card games. The game itself is fun enough but not something that will give me more than a couple of quick bouts, Im not likely to sit playing it for hours over and over through enjoyment, itll go in the pile of "something quick thats fine enough to take out the house to a picnic" or similar.

Fantastic game, being added to the permeant games taken on holiday, quick and easy to learn and even fun when losing

Instructions are unclear, which isn't helpful for lots of us
This is probably still a good gift for that friend who constantly collects more board games than they actually have time to play, and never lets you play the same one twice because they want to teach you a new one, but perhaps won't suit the rest of us.It's going to really help you if you're younger, have perfect eyesight and someone else teaches you the game, since the included instruction manuals were made to be read with a magnifying glass. I know we want to save paper but this is literally a game made entirely of card so it seems silly to fold up two instruction leaflets that are playing card sized, and use a tiny font, where some of the folds on mine have literally obliterated entire lines as the ink has been damaged by the stress instead of printing a full sized leaflet. The box is the size they chose, and in fact, has extra space in it anyway. So a full A4 manual, with lager print, and maybe a couple of sheets worth would easily have fitted in it, and if not, they could have ordered a fractionally larger box.I'm sorry, I can't get passed the lack of testing this implies. Not everyone who plays your game already knows the rules, not everyone can read tiny text, and no-one can read text properly if most of the ink has turned into bare white paper due to being folded and creased. The artwork doesn't impress me either, I'm afraid. It's very basic indeed and not nearly as cool as I'd expect from a game in this day and age. There's just no style to it.

brilliant ordering another
Really fun game easy to play, even my 5 and 7 year old enjoy playing it even though they need a little help. Ordered for a friends bday and they loved it and take it with them on pirate days they go on. Now ordering a set for us to have for holidays and trips its fab well worth the money. Instructions and game play is easy to learn and easy to refer back to if needed. But each card also explains. To be honest the first few times we played we played rules wrong but it didnt actually affect the game in a negative way so you can also adapt it to how you prefer to play.
