Nice quality and useful adapter
I could only test this with a laptop and portable devices going into an HD monitor, so I cannot test the higher theoretical specs of this adapter, but what I could connect worked fine without issue. Nice quality adapter, no issues so far.

Great little adapter, very useful upto 16k if you have the equipment.
The cable matters 80gbps usb-c thunderbolt 4 adapter is certainly the first 16k display capable adapter I have genuinely ever seen. In the box, there was a small leaflet, but no actual instructions on the cable itself. The cable itself supports display port 2.1 which in theory supports upto 16k (if you have the right equipment and a 16k display). If not you will have to make do with 8k at 240hz or 4k at 960hz, if your monitor/tv can support that. DP 2.1 also supporst Dp alt mode and usb 4, so should be as fast as thunderbolt 4 can possibly be. Under normal conditions it supports 40gbps in standard mode, but the throughput is actually 80gbs total (thunderbolt 4 uses 8 lanes), so in theory that is as fast as it will get for now. Its also backward compatible too, so if you dont have thunderbolt 4 it can do 20gbps too.i have not as yet seen the spec for usb 5, so cant comment as to whether it will be an improvement, the whole purpose of DP 2.1 apart from higher resolutions is stable quality output that is reliable, espcially for things like video edition and low lag gaming displays at high resolutions. The cable for what you get is pretty tiny, but it can be used with mac/pc/or even VR if you want that extra data as well, with a superior and stable display output, in theory can connect to anything capable of driving a display through usb-c and beyond. I have no way of testing 16k as I dont possess the technology, but the adapter worked well otherwise with my 4k displays without any issues.Pros: UPTO 16k resolution support, dp 2.1 thunderbolt 4, 80gbps. small lightweight.Cons: Needs a display and compatible equipment to drive it, no drivers needed.

Works well
Item title: Cable Matters 80Gbps USB C to DisplayPort 2.1 Adapter, 16K@60hz, 8K@240hz, 4K@960Hz and HDR Support - Thunderbolt 5/4, USB4 Compatible with VR Headset, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, XPS, Surface ProDelivered price with Prime: £27.99How is it packaged?: Retail BoxA brand you can trust, I've bought many CM items over the years for the office. Very good quality, lovely presentation with retail box. High price but in this instance a) you know where you stand with quality, b) reliable and a proper brand c) You know the standards will always meet manufacturer guidlines and the specs will not be 'made up'. Here I tested it with my M4 Mac Mini and it works well. I havent got any display equipmentto go to 16k though so can't comment on that at present.

It does as it claims
This display adapter might cost a bit but you are getting what it claims to do. 16K resolution isn’t something most people will need but it is backwards compatible so lower resolutions are fine. The quality is very good. I’d not expect this to break easily at all. Certainly not from being in a bag or backpack. It’s robust and the internals should be good as well, being as it from a reputable brand.I’d hesitate to recommend this to anyone that doesn’t need 16K resolution as there are cheaper options but if you do then this does it all.

Works perfectly
Plug this into a compatible device that provides video out of a USB-C point and connect it to a monitor via a DisplayPort cable and it starts working immediately.I have used a Thunderbolt 2 to DisplayPort cable for many years to connect my old Macbook to a second monitor. This adapter allows me to switch my setup to work with newer Thunderbolt 4/5 Macbooks and USB-C iPads without changing anything else.I haven't been able to test it to its highest specifications as I don't have a high-spec monitor, but it does everything I need it to.At £27.99, it's not cheap but it solves a problem.

High-performance adapter for advanced displays
This USB C to DisplayPort adapter supports various super high resolutions, including 8K and 16K, making it ideal for high-end displays. It works seamlessly with my laptop, and the connection is stable, although I could only test as far as 4k. A reliable adapter for professionals needing top-tier display output.
