Very useful tool!
I am very please with my purchase of this tool. It works great if you know how to use it! My only concern is that the protecting yellow plastic at the back is hard to peel off until you use water to loosen it! I almost thought of returning, because i thought it was not going to work untill i figured out about peeling off the yellow plastic! There is no instructions about it! The seller needs to be aware of it and send instructions about the protecting layer is been used and how to remove it! Otherwise It's a great tool!

Quality tool
This is a very well made tool but it is only for folks who already know, or put in a lot of hours to learn, either of the 2 practices.

A highly informative tool clearly printed on sturdy acrylic
For anyone who is informed enough about Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra to get this “compass”, it is highly likely you already know the physical compass directions of your space like the back of your hand. So the fact that this tool isn’t in actuality a working compass with a needle pointing to true North is not really a detriment. I have plenty of other mountaineering compasses for that purpose, and besides, I always intuitively know my directions in any space I enter. I think this has been named a compass because it shows all of the precise compass directions and even displays all 360 degrees. What I got this for, and what I love about this tool, is that it has all of the information I want and need all in one place so I can align elements in my space to their most harmonious locations. I simply set this tool down facing the appropriate natural directions, and I can then determine where my best relationship, finance, health, personal growth, and success directions are. I can further analyze the detailed Vastu Shastra elements for a more complete understanding of the energetic influences of those directions. Both Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra are deeply meaningful and complex sciences that can take years of study to truly comprehend. Having a guide like this Vastu Shastra Compass is extremely helpful to consolidate a lot of information in one convenient tool. It is made of sturdy acrylic and has beautiful, detailed, clear printing. Unlike some kind of flimsy paper chart that could be printed out, this beautiful acrylic tool will hold up well to frequent use, going room to room, or space to space, or even house to house. I, for one, truly appreciate its usefulness.

You must peel the paper off
I almost thought it was printed backwards. So, I came back to the item listing and saw the video at the top that showed the directions which said to peel the paper off. This is not stated anywhere else on the page or on the package that it arrived in. It was hard to peel the paper off. There was no area that already had a ridge to pull the paper from. I had to use something slightly pointed (I used a screwdriver) to create an area for me to pull the paper. I’m not too familiar with this type of compass so after a quick Google search I found that they normally come with a magnetic compass needle that points to the directions. This one does not. I instead used the compass that came standard on my iPhone to find the directions of North, South, East, West. Some words are printed in English and some are in Sanskrit / Hindi. This would be extremely useful if it came with a magnetic compass, and some type of chart or instructions for use. Other than that, feng shui is surely a fascinating concept and I will still try to incorporate its use in my life over time and see how it benefits me.

Not a compass at all, just a plastic chart
This is NOT a compass. Unlike real Vastu Shastra compasses and all the others I've ever seen, this one has no magnetic needle or anything to help you find North. It’s just a round, colorful acrylic guide that looks pretty, but calling it a “compass” is simply untrue. If you want to use this for Vastu or Feng Shui, you’ll have to provide your own compass to get any actual directions. Without a compass, it's hard to use, if not impossible. For nearly $20, this feels like a total waste of money. If all I wanted was a chart, I could have printed one myself. And peeling off the paper backing was an exercise in frustration. It was stuck so tightly I had to score it with scissors to even get it started. For this price, they could have at least peeled the backing for you. It does look nice, and the plastic feels sturdy, so it should last longer than a paper version. The chart itself is light, about the weight of a coaster, and the printing is crisp and bright. That's the only reason it gets more than one star. But for function, value, and quality as a compass, it completely fails on all counts. If you’re looking for a real compass for energy alignment or home design, skip this one.

I gifted this to our next door neighbour (my MIL, who is very spiritual) and this made her burst into tears (of happiness). I was quite surprised, actually! It comes packaged in a cardboard box (shame it had the postal label on the front, but, oh well) and the compass itself comes covered with an adhesive brown paper on the back - easy enough to remove. This Home Genie "Vastu Shastra Compass Feng Shui Energy Direction Tool" is perfect for her as she thinks very carefully about the layout of her home and its energy flow. She's into interior design (and a highly skilled woodworker, seamstress and DIYer, but I digress). Instructions say: - Place the compass flat in the centre of your room - Align it with North to check Vastu compliance - Use it to guide element placement for optimal energy balance I won't pretend to know exactly how this works but she was absolutely thrilled by this compass and I know she will use it conscientiously.

Schön die Hintergrundfolie / -papier auf die falsche Seite geklebt. Jetzt kann man es nur spiegelverkehrt lesen. Unglaublich, schaut ihr euere Produkte an, bevor ihr sie versendet? Rücksendung in Arbeit. Sowas kotzt mich an.

I ordered this 'Vastu Shastra Compass' Feng Shui energy Direction Tool from the Amazon brand Home Genie. Well. Basically I got it because I was reading a book about Feng Shui and it mentioned compasses and I found the whole thing fascinating. The chart itself is indeed fascinating, and it is a useful chart to learn about Feng Shui or indeed to practice it. It's not a compass however, as there is no needle pointing north. You can use your phones compass pretty well, not sure what Feng Shui would say to that. Its basically an acrylic panel, well coloured, and once I got the random paper layer off it ( I presume to stop it from being scratched in transit, which probably means its suseptible to be scratched in situ ) I had a lot of fun trying to work out what it all meant. I used the book as a tool to help be understand in, as well as online translations and several websites. Its lost a star becasue a lot of the info I found could have come on a little paper booklet of instructions; a beginner's guide. The current price for the item is £13.94 which. honestly I've no idea if that's a good price. It's certainly worth something for curiosity value! I've taken two points off, one for lack of instructions and one for lack of compass, but that 's not to say its not an interesting and intriguing object, just one that you really need some additional knowledge on - there is much to learn! Three stars
