I am a long term spinal patient and receive injections to keep me mobile. However I needed a tens to help me pace out my day doing things while coping with pain. This is a marvellous tens much much better than my old one which was expensive and bulky. This one fits nicely into a pocket, the instructions are very simple and so easy to use. The modes are easy to understand. I get more pain relief so allowing me to space out what I do like ironing and gardening during the day so I no longer have to grit my teeth from pain and immediately get out my full length electric massage mat. If needed I can use that much later in the day. I felt so much better and happier just using this great little tens. The pads are nice size and sticky. I think this is a very sturdy item and am so pleased I read the reviews and would readily recommend this one.

Only used it twice in 2 days since I got it. Definitely noticed pain relief when using and for a few hours after. Think the bigger pads will be helpful. The pulses and electric impulses can go up to a very strong level. I was only able to tolerate up to 4 or less on most settings. I think it will be helpful over time and getting used to it

I have adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) which is INCREDIBLY painful, and various painkillers and topical gels barely do anything to make the condition more bearable. For at least a month I have been waking up in the night crying out in pain, sometimes just getting up and starting my day at 4am knowing there was no chance of sleep… I literally began to think I would be stuck doing that until my shoulder got better. A friend mentioned they had borrowed a TENS machine from a mate to help with a knee injury, which planted the idea for me to try one. I finally had an appointment with a physiotherapist and he said one would probably help me, so my search began… After spending a few hours reading reviews and scrutinising the functionality of various machines (I knew I wanted cordless and under £30), I decided on this Auvon Dual Channel TENS, and my unit arrived yesterday morning. This little machine is smart and sleek, and easily fits into the palm of your hand or a pocket. The build quality seems excellent. It arrived already charged but I plugged it in for a short while to make sure it had full battery. After reading the very clear, comprehensive and very helpful instructions I put the unit to work. The unit has 2 ports that operate completely independently, which has been amazing to treat acute shoulder and upper arm pain on my left, and mild sciatica on the right side at the same time, using different modes. There are 6 Programs and 3 Master Modes (2 programs per Master) : Master Modes are TENS, PMS & MASSAGE Each Master Mode has 8 special sub-modes that are simple to select using the unit (see video). This may sound complicated, bit it is actually incredibly simple to choose what you need. The leads from the unit to where you connect the pads are almost 4ft long, so you could, if needed, treat your shoulder and ankle at the same time, with ease. The pads are very sticky, comfortable and unintrusive to wear, and stay securely in place. Over 2 days I have used the unit several times, and repositioned the pads to target different areas on many occasions, with no loss of stickiness. This is a little powerhouse of a machine! 11 hours of use so far and the battery is still full from its first single charge! The beauty of it is that you’re able to get on with your day without having to work around it, just carry on as normal. It’s so small that when I haven’t had a pocket I’ve simply tucked it in my waistband as it’s slim and light. Easy to clean, just as you would clean your mobile phone, and the instructions say to wipe water over the pads once the adhesive starts to fail, but I haven’t had to do that yet. I really can’t fault this machine at all!! I rarely leave reviews after only 36 hours of using something new, but I was in so much pain before trying this, that I wanted to share how wonderful it has been for me, and hopefully help someone else in the same situation. After using it a couple of times yesterday daytime, and again before bed, I actually slept without waking and crying out in agony for the first time in a month! After using before bed the effects lasted for around 8 hours in the night for me. In the day the pain reduction is currently lasting 3-5 hours. Does it eliminate my acute pain completely? Of course not, I never expected it to, but it has certainly reduced it to around a fifth of what it was which makes it manageable. I definitely recommend this TENS machine without hesitation!!

A great TENS/EMS/Massage machine with plenty of different settings. There are the 3 modes (TENS/EMS/Massage), 2 sub-modes within each of those and 4 programs within each of those, giving 24 different programs in all. A huge range of intensity from "is it even on" gentle through to a pulse strong enough it could cause a right hook that would take out Tyson Fury. I've recently had (less than a week ago) spinal surgery for a herniated disc. Whilst waiting to have the surgery, a huge number of my muscles were in over-drive with extra tension to try and limit movement and protect myself from doing any more damage, etc. I needed something that is strong enough to get those muscles to relax, whilst also helping to rebuild some muscles that have massively deteriorated whilst awaiting surgery. I've also got to re-strengthen my back muscles where the surgeon had to slice through them. Cue this 3-1 marvellous machine. So far I've mainly used the massage setting on my shoulders as those and my neck have been so tense I'm getting headaches. Normally I'd relax in a hot bath or something, but I can't do that yet as the wound is still too new and not healed enough to be submerged. I've also used the EMS a couple of times on my legs to help re-build those. Once the surgical staples are taken out (hopefully in a week's time), I'll be able to put it to proper use and get on with using it to help my back heal and strengthen properly. The interface is very straight-forward and intuitive, and being dual channel is great as it lets me work on more than one things at a time. It was well boxed, with lots of re-useable pads (12 to start with) and even came charged, so could be used straight away. I love that it's got a USB-c port for charging, so I can just use my regular phone or tablet charger and not have to worry about losing or breaking the one specific for this device. You can also buy extra pads in regular (2"x2" pack of 20) as well as (4"x2" pack of 10), or a hard case for storage/transport/etc at what I think are quite reasonable prices (£9.99 per pack of pads/case at the moment) if you want. The extra pads is something I may need to invest in. I tend to wear out the normal pads a bit quicker than the average person due to being somewhat hairy (think gorilla). Even so, the pads stick well and stay on throughout a session. Another great plus is that it has a physical power switch (a low-profile sliding one). It also starts at intensity 0 (ie off) when you power it on and every time you change mode or sub-mode, it drops back to intensity 0, so you don't get startled by a different pattern not doing what you thought it would, etc. This means that whilst it is still technically possible that it might get accidentally turned on in a bag or something, the chances of it doing that and the intensity button being pushed hard enough and repeatedly to up the intensity, that it will start to discharge, without it also getting knocked off, or mode changed (resetting the intensity to 0), are basically nil. That and it also has a built-in timer, which most people will probably have set at 10, 20 or 30 mins, which turns the unit off when it ends. In over 2 hours of use I haven't seen the battery indicator drop from full to 2 bars yet. I don't know if it was full-full, this is just the charge it arrived with. So the chances of having it charged, taking it somewhere and suddenly finding it with a flat battery are somewhere around the same as being able to survive a quick jaunt to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in just a pair of speedos and with no submarine. Nil. I'm a little confused by the hard plastic thing with nobbly bits on that you're meant to use to put the pads on in between and how it's different from just putting them back on the plastic sheet they came from. My only guess is that it lets you easily identify which pads are currently in use rather than having to check multiple plastic sheets of them. At least that's what I'm using it for at the moment anyway. Oh, it also comes with a small soft bag for storing things in, though so far mine has just gone back in the box. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a TENS/EMS machine. It's got plenty of pads, plenty of modes, and plenty of intensity levels to suit even the thickest, most resistive skin. 10/10 to Auvon for a fantastic product.
