Panasonic DMR-UBC70EGK UHD Blu-ray Recorder (500GB HDD, 4K Blu-ray Disc, WLAN, 4K VoD, UHD TV Receiver, 2x DVB-C / T2 HD Tuner)

It breaks my heart, but I've had to return this unit. The 4K blu-ray player was great, can't fault it's performance on that front. However, the Freeview (aerial) tuner has some serious issues. Presumably because the unit is intended for Germany/Switzerland/Austria. These are the only countries available to select during set-up. It seems HD channels are transmitted differently on the continent. This means no EPG information AT ALL on any HD channels. So if you have a bunch of HD recordings on the hard drive, you can only identify them by when they were recorded. You can't edit the titles and write your own either. Obviously this is not practical. The other issue, and it's the real biggie, is also with the HD channels. Every time the source material changes, often just with standard in programme edits, there is a brief but extremely noticeable flash of black screen. Over 6 weeks I have tried every combination of settings on both the unit and my TV. I have not been able to resolve the issue. Exhaustive Internet research hasn't really helped either. All I could find was a possible diagnosis, not a solution. It seems it could be the unit trying to auto switch between progressive and interlaced. There are settings to lock in one or the other. These didn't seem to make any difference. My assumption is that there's a big difference between continental HD transmissions and those we get in the UK. So, THIS UNIT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY IN THE UK.

E' eccezionale ho registrato fino a 4 film nella stessa ora naturalmente 2 a un canale e 2 su un'altro canale l'unica pecca è che non mette i canali in fila come un decoder tradizionale però sono soddisfattissimo.

Un bel appareil qui permet d'enregistrer environ 200h de programmes, belles images, belles couleurs et de faire des copies sur Dvd. La première recherche de chaines n'a détecté aucune chaine sur la télé avec prise murale. Pour changer les paramètres, il faut utiliser sur la télécommande la touche Fonction Menu qui donne accès aux paramètres de configuration. Pour la France, il faut régler Système TV sur PAL. Pour avoir le format original 16:9 sur les dvd copiés, il faut sélectionner dans le menu Connexion le format video 4:3. Une notice en français est disponible sur le site Panasonic. Le cable Hdmi n'est pas fourni.

Appareil surprenant par sa légèreté, avec un joli esthétique et des dimensions vraiment réduite de par ses capacités techniques, très belle qualité d'image avec 2 tuners pour l'enregistrement même en UHD TNT et aussi pour la lecture des blu-ray simple avec le système HDR et bien sûr aussi les ultras HD, je recommande vraiment l'appareil .

Questo apparecchio dovrà sostituire il modello precedente, sempre Panasonic, ma che con l'arrivo del t2 finirà il suo impeccabile servizio durato 7 anni. L'attuale modello è indubbiamente superiore per caratteristiche tecniche e per utilizzatori in grado di usufruirne. Per me che volevo semplicemente continuare a fare registrazioni con tagli e riversamenti veloci su DVD, la cosa si è complicata molto. Col vecchio modello bastava inserire un DVD -R, selezionare la qualità di registrazione e questa, anche di oltre 4 ore, veniva duplicata in pochi minuti sul disco. Con questo modello non c'è verso di farglielo fare. Ogni volta che si tenta la copia manda sempre il messaggio che la qualità di registrazione è stata modificata e che pertanto la copia avverrà con lo stesso tempo della registrazione. 4 ore di registrazione = 4 ore per copiarla. Per il resto funziona benissimo, anche se il telecomando è stato progettato davvero male come disposizione dei tasti al centro per i quali occorrerebbero dita da neonato. Il tasto OK al centro di quello a 4 frecce è molto alto e sensibile non solo alla pressione, ma anche al minimo spostamento di lato, che viene subito interpretato come un OK mentre si stava tentando di premere una delle frecce direzionali, costringendo a tornare sul menù iniziale. Resta comunque un ottimo apparecchio, con due utilissimi sintonizzatori, e per chi necessita solo di registrare e rivedere va benissimo, ma il rapporto tra prezzo e prestazioni non è dei migliori. Purtroppo il mercato di questo articolo attualmente fa capo al solo marchio Panasonic, prendere o lasciare... A parziale rettifica di quanto osservato devo dire che, un effetti, la copia su DVD è tranquillamente possibile ad alta velocità. Basta aspettare alcune ore, massimo il giorno dopo, e il problema riscontrato scompare automaticamente. Non so come funziona, ma è così, per cui vanno 5 stelle a questo apparecchio davvero ottimo.
