DD-75 Portable Digital Drums Package with Headphones & Power Supply

Great sound,fun to play

I just sold my Roland TD-9SX electronic drum set as they were a lot of work to haul around. I love the portability of the DD75 unit, and anticipate being able to travel easily with it for small gigs and having fun with friends. Is is as good as my previous set? No. There are things about the DD75 that are trade-offs. For one, there is no way (that I've found yet) to"choke" the crash cymbal. The snare is a little picky about how hard you hit it. Too soft and it doesn't trigger. But, the size, and the various drum sets, including "hand play mode" make it an excellent choice for me. The first unit I ordered was missing the headphones and power supply. A quick call to Amazon and the second set delivered was perfect! Thanks Yamaha and Amazon!

Was all excited to get this based on the reviews that I had read at least the positive ones but very disappointed you can definitely hear the tapping more than you can hear the music or the actual drum sound. It was to produce ended up selling it for a quarter of what I paid for it Would not recommend this product.

Functions well as a portable digital drum kit. Excellent drum sounds through included headphones or when plugged into an external amp. The onboard speakers are inadequate for jamming with other musicians. As many others have noted the button pedals for the high hat and kick drum are very difficult to control accurately in terms of keeping time. I purchased the upgraded HH40 and KU100 electronic pedals and am much happier since my backbeat and high hat are under control. With the pedals and a snare stand and a small amp, one has a very portable digital drum set that I easily fit in a rolling suitcase to go to small gigs. Not perfect but very good for what it is.
