Very useful when tinkering with surface mounted components. it flows nicely and does what it's supposed to.

Easy to clean up.
This flux is nice for any situation where i know clean up is going to be an issue. For example, i now like to use this for HDMI ports because other flux brands i have tried have made it almost impossible to clean around the data pins after the new port is attached which makes it more difficult to view the pins amd verify that they are secured to the pads.

Easy Mode Soldering and Desoldering
To be fair, this was my first time using a product like this, so I had nothing to compare it to except for the copper solder wick. Still, this was great for de soldering and re-soldering some PCB’s. I needed to fix an audio input on my KVM switch and the copper wire really wicked away the old solder. I had never used past solder or flux before and I realized I can solder really well if I’m using the right equipment, granted I think of this type of solder as the “cheat code” to good soldering points.

Convenient flux size for periodic small jobs
Solder works fine, a little difficult to dispense at first. Easy and convenient packaging, lightweight to carry. Doesn’t boil over with a really hot soldering gun.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Hasty decision. There was hardly any solder paste in the solder tube

Use case specific.
This flux is EXCELLENT.If you're unsure which one to buy, just get something in the middle and youll be fine.This company makes them all. Good price and quality.The OT-558 is really thick and IMO it is fantastic for small projects because it doesn't run. Super clean.
