Powerful, Smart, and Quiet – Just Know This Before Plugging In!
I love this robot vacuum. It’s powerful, super quiet, and the app is excellent – very user-friendly and packed with features. It scanned my apartment quickly and accurately, creating a perfect map.One big plus is that it’s a slim model, so it fits under most furniture easily. The mopping function isn’t amazing, but it does the job for everyday cleaning.Important note for buyers in Argentina: the robot runs on 110V and is not multi-voltage, so you’ll need a voltage converter to use it with a 220V power supply. I couldn't find clear information about this before buying, so just be aware of that.Overall, I highly recommend it. Great value for the price, just make sure you're prepared for the voltage issue.

Effective and a great value
The value of this thing is amazing. It is very quiet and I love the design of it. It fits great into my apartment since I’ve gotten it my floors have never looked better. It does a great job of not getting stuck in my house and the app is super easy to use. The cleaning ability of this thing is amazing. I do recommend sectioning out your house (which is easy due to the mapping that it does during set up) because the battery capacity could be better. My mother after seeing it in action decided she’s gonna get one for her house.

easy and effective
My mom had one of these and absolutely loved it, so I finally decided to get one for myself—and I’m so glad I did! It’s perfect for my one-story apartment. The setup was incredibly easy, and the app that comes with it is super intuitive and user-friendly.It handles vacuuming and mopping effortlessly, and my floors look great with so little effort on my part. The suction from vacuum is pretty good and it self empties. I can’t speak to how it handles stairs or really complex layouts, but if you have a simple space like I do, I highly recommend it.

Garbage Non-Functional “Smart” Featured - Terrible Buyers Remorse
Garbage. The worst robot vacuum I’ve ever had and I’ve had close to ten. Total waste of money for “smart” features that don’t work. First off, it’s supposed to auto update. I have it set for auto update during the day while the Internet is on. Guess what it doesn’t do? Update. I have to manually tell it to update firmware. It claims to have a mapping feature, for all the good it does. Or rather, it doesn’t. Useless mapping feature because it just ignores it and leaves the designated room.I specify to clean a single room, select that room, push clean, and instead it just leaves the room and tries to map the house again.I’ve already had it do mapping and then designated rooms and no-go zones. It completely ignores the no-go zones and virtual walls. Literally made no difference. It’s on a nightly schedule to clean, and it did 3 days in a row correctly them the 4th night it just left the area it’s supposed to clean. Stopped it, put it back at the base station, told it to clean again, and it disregarded the map and the cleaning instructions and started mapping the house. When I tried to go back and select the room that already existed it told me the map didn’t exist. This thing is a giant waste of money. Huge regret.

UPDATED 2/16/25 - Absolutely awful
Update 2/16/25 -- I've updated this to a four-star review.I did return the RV20 Max Plus, but Tapo's support came through and offered me a discount on the next highest model, the RV30 Max Plus, for the same price I paid for this one. So far, it has worked much better, but I don't think that means the RV20 Max Plus is a bad product -- I think my original unit simply had a defect. The only real difference between the two is the placement of the mapping sensors, but I don't think that alone accounts for the major issues I encountered.I'm only giving four stars because the RV20 Max Plus I received had so many issues and it was frustrating to reach a tier of support from Tapo that was helpful, but I am happy with the support I received. My original review is as follows.---I got a special deal on this from the Amazon app that made it difficult to pass up. It was a significant upgrade from my previous vacuum (at least on paper), a Eufy 25c. I own a lot of Kasa and Tapo products, but this is the only one that's been so bad that I returned it.This vacuum supposedly offers mapping, but it's completely broken. When I start the vacuum, it immediately gets lost and tries to return to the dock, but is unable to find the dock it just left, so it spins in circles and wanders back and forth for several minutes before eventually just turning off. It's clearly defective, but the product's support was completely unhelpful. After a lot of factory resetting and numerous attempts, I finally got it to map my home (at least to some degree), so I thought maybe it would work out, but the next day, it was unable to go anywhere in my home, saying it was "unable to reach the designated area," at which point it would return to its dock. After three days of being unable to use the vacuum without massive problems and frustrations and support not reading my emails and just sending me form letters back, I'm returning it and getting my money back.I'm very disappointed in TP-Link for this device and will strongly reconsider buying anything from them in the future.
