Excellent
A good quality bed which for the price is excellent value. I first bought one of these in 2015 and loved it. It's time for a refresh and so I bought this one.Install is easy. There's screws to go in but it's easy to work out what goes where and takes an hour or so to build. Other reviews mention missing screw holes and that's true for 4 small screws that hold the centre beam either side. It's very easy to work and the screws go in easy. Zero issues. The centre beam is not indestructible so if you're on the heavy side or you have kids using it as a trampoline get a pile of old books and use them to steady the centre beam. Much more effective.I absolutely love these beds and likely will buy another in 7 or 8 yrs when it's time to replace the mattress.

Sturdy and easy to assemble
This bed is exactly as described, and it was relatively easy to put together. I did it by myself and it took me about 2.5 hours. I noticed a comment about no pre-drilled holes for the slats on the bed support and mine was the same. However they are not needed. The wood is a soft wood therefore with an electric screwdriver and the spacers provided i had no problems securing the centre support and slats. Highly recommend this bed if you want a decent solid bed frame thats not too expensive.

Excellent Bed Once Assembly Problem Solved
This is a very nice bed once it is assembled, however, there does seem to be a quality control issues over hole alignment. The dowels and screw bolts for completing the assembly of the head and foot ends were absolutely, indeed I was so confident in them I used a bit of wood glue to make those joints permanent, whose going to disassemble the head and foot boards I thought. By the way it s much better if you have a prober hex key to tighten the bolts, the one they supply is okay for a bit but you will have sore finger after a while. That came to joining the two end together with the side panels. Again the dowels met up fine but this time, because these are joints that it might be useful to disassemble, there are bolts that go through the leg post into the side f a larger hole in the side panel. You are required to position a crescent shaped nut in the bigger hole to receive the bolt. Unfortunately for me I started at the defective corner: I just couldn’t get the nut in the correct alignment. Beginning to despair I contacted my elder son, who is very technically proficient, thinking I might need to asking him to come by after work to help me. Unfortunately h was in Dublin, with work, for the day so wasn’t able to offer help physically. Once I went back to the bed I started on the other corner on the same end and it was pretty straightforward, albeit I still think that the patent nt design is an abomination, even when it connected easily. When I went back to the troublesome corner I did, with some difficulty, and re-drilling the bolt hole it’s the same size bit, get to connect but the second bolt, I eventually discovered, was drilled at a slight angle to the back of the hole that I was trying to align the patent nut in so that I could never them to align. I solved this by using a regular nut that fitted the bolt and that bit was done successfully.I am always a bit sceptical of the screws provided with self assembly furniture o I used better quality once of the same length. The idea that you’re going to screw in all slats with a manual screwdriver is ridiculous: I used a screwdriver bit on a power dill and that bit was piece of cake. The two extra bits of wood are to help space the slats. Don’t space them too tightly otherwise you will end up with wider spacing on the last two at the foot so put them all in place without fixing them first to make sure before you screw any in place.Obviously the difficulty I had with assembling this were frustrating but once I had worked out a solution it was plain sailing. My son really likes his new, very sturdy, bed. Once I solved the assembly problem.

Fantastic value for money.
Fantastic value for money. The quality for the price exceeded my expectations. The price included delivery I'm glad to say, because the king size bed is heavy and not atall flimsy. Fully recommend and would buy again. Polite delivery men.

Very pleased the bed looks good and is built to last, it took me over 2 hours to construct but very pleased with the final outcome.

Horrible Assembly for a good sturdy bed
Very mixed feelings. The bed is a proper wood and feels sturdy and strong. There are 4 under mattress legs to hold it sturdy and lots of planks to hold the mattress in place.Where it falls so incredibly short is the assembly. I usually love building furniture, but this was horrible. You NEED A DRILL (which we luckily had) since there are no pre drilled holes for most of the elements. Since its a proper wood, its impossibly hard to actually screw the screws in using a manual screwdriver. We tried to use the electric screw driver, but the screws are cheap and just got destroyed. We spent a good hour trying to figure out what to do.On top of that, one of the long screws was missing and now we have to figure out where to buy one from…Overall - good and sturdy bed, but a hellish and horrible assembly.
