This thing has been a lifesaver. It fits perfectly between the bigger seats and is light weight making it easy for travel. The design is great, I’m a big fan of black. It’s way to clean and can be deflated and folded up when unneeded. The quality is great and my son loves it.

This is the perfect travel seat for my 70lb 7 year old. We bought it because it rolls small onto a tote bag for travel to be used in rental cars, and ride share. It is lightweight and works as designed. Upon a few uses the seat began to deflate and I called the service line. Within a few hours of my message the representative called me and offered a replacement be immediately sent. In addition to the product being great I can attest the service is just a high of quality. I would recommend anyone who has a backless booster sized child consider this as your second seat for riding carpool, grandparents or while traveling.

This works exactly as described and is perfect for travel. We were looking for a booster that was easy to travel with AND met the national safety requirements. This was a recommended product from the NHTSA, and we love it. It's easy to inflate, easy to deflate, and easy to store. I added a carabiner to the tag loop so I could attach to my backpack when flying. Would definitely recommend.

We really like our booster seat, but it is a bit big to travel with. In fact, every time we went to the airport, they made us try and stuff it through the x-ray machine. We would tell the TSA person that the last time or last two times, it got stuck, but they were persistent. And of course, it got stuck again. We decided that we needed an alternative for travel. After research, there are two decent options: the Trunki/Boostapak, which also functions as a backpack and is made of hard plastic, and the inflatable BubbleBum. Both are considered safe and include an adjustable belt positioning strap. The BubbleBum, however, is more practical for long car rides compared to the Trunki since the BubbleBum is naturally more comfortable (inflatable cushion vs. hard plastic). So, if you plan to fly and then travel in a car for a bit, this is your only option. Which is fine because this product is awesome. In fact, we purchased another one for the other car just because it is so convenient. If your child has a play date but needs to bring a car seat, or if you find that you have to suddenly transport one of your child's friends in your car, you are ready. If you need a third booster in between two larger car seats, this one will work. It is easy to use, my child--who can sometimes struggle with securing a seat belt--has no difficulties putting this one on. Additionally, it literally takes about 15 seconds to take it out of the bag, inflate it, and secure the positioning strap on the seat belt. If there is one con, it is just that you will have to check to make sure your child put the safety belt through BOTH red loops (pictured) on each side. Since I generally install the seat first, securing the positioning strap on the safety belt, I slip the safety belt into the red loop so that my child will just have to worry about positioning the strap and then buckling in on the other side, and slipping the safety belt into the other red loop. This is our third Bubble Bum. We had to retire one early because a kid thought it was brilliant to poke some holes in it. The Bubble Bum's are very portable, wide enough to fit the kids, but a little narrower than the super wide plastic boosters, which is a big deal for us since on some days we sit three across in two rows of our van (total of six kids in back), and no one feels like they are being unduly squeezed like we saw with the chunky seats. They inflate relatively easy with one exception (talked about below). The kids all agree they are also more comfortable than the traditional plastic booster seats. Our five year old can buckle himself with this booster, including the recommended looping through the red guides/supports/whatever you want to call them on the sides. Overall, we are happier with these than the umpteen boosters we have tried over the years. Now for the down side. First off, when inflating, there isn't a one way valve, so you have to keep blowing in the silly thing while you close the valve, otherwise it deflates when you remove your mouth. That is a huge drawback, especially if you plan on deflating and re-inflating them all the time for the advertised portability. It does allow for easy deflation, but when inflated, they don't take up that much more space. They should have come up with a different plan so you can take your mouth off and not have the thing deflate. Second thing we noticed is that the foam on the underside of the cover degraded in just two years. It starts to come apart as a powder. It is not hugely noticeable, since I only saw it when I took apart the one with holes in it, but I would expect a longer lasting foam. Third thing is an annoyance. We bought the newest one at the end of October, 2021. I looked at the manufacturing date on the new one and it reads July 8th, 2019. Great. I just got a "new" product that has been sitting around for 2 years and 4 months. With something they tell me should only be replaced after 4 years of use, I am wondering what 2+ years in storage has done to it already...and under what conditions it was stored. Hopefully mine was just a box temporarily misplaced and most people are receiving fresh inventory, but I was not thrilled at all to receive something so stale. So, overall, we are happy with it, but those few drawbacks make it an okay product, kind of short of the excellence I was hoping for. Short of a new, better product out there, we would probably buy another one, not because they are so great, but because nothing else seems to shine as better.

Very practical portable car seat, I have taken it to several trips without problem, when deflated it can be packed quite small, similar to the size of a rolled up hoodie, it also comes with a elastic storage bag. My child could see better sitting elevated on the car seat (compared to a seatbelt restraint alternative) There are 3 seatbelt hooks that are sturdy, be sure to slide the seatbelt in place for a snug fit and better protection.

How did we ever travel without the BubbleBum?! We travel a lot and we were so tired of lugging around heavy, bulky car seats. We needed a trustworthy, portable option for our kids booster seats. We've used the BubbleBums on three different trips now and have been very happy with them. Pros: Easy to inflate. With just 5 breaths, it was inflated and ready to use. Easy to install - just inflate and strap your child into the seat with the seat belt. Kids can easily buckle themselves in and out. Deflate quickly, making them easy to pack and store. Very lightweight and fit into any car. Both kids found them comfortable to sit on during long car rides. They are narrow, making it possible to seat someone between them. They are covered with a lightweight material that makes it easy to wipe clean. Comes with a strap to use on plane rides as well. Cons: Because they are inflatable, it is not recommended to leave them in a car during long periods of time. Especially during extreme heat or cold spells. There are no cup holders, it's just the seat. But the kids were able to reach the cup holders in the backseat so it wasn't an issue for us. We are very happy with the BubbleBums Booster Seats and highly recommend them to anyone traveling with small children.
