So bright!
Love this new light! I wanted something to light up the dark garage when I took a bag of garbage out, and this does the trick. The motion sensor is sensitive, so it lights up as soon as I open the door. All the pictures show it hanging on the wall, but I just set mine on a shelf and it works perfectly. I definitely recommend this item.

Serves it's purpose very well
I bought this for the back patio of our townhouse, which leads to the garage. Coming home at night, it's very dark crossing the patio from the garage to the back door, and I can't see my door keys. This mini spotlight was the answer. It only turns on at night as I approach the back door to the townhouse. Therefore, I'm not using electricity. I dont have to leave the regular patio light on at night when I'm gone. I placed the unit on the door frame at shoulder level so that I can see my keys. This is why I bought it. It also illuminates the ground and patio bright enough so that I can see the entire area. My partner thinks that I should have placed it at the very top of the door frame overhead. But I bought it to illuminate the path from garage to the back door and to see my keys. So it will stay at shoulder level. Batteries...it takes 3 "C" batteries. The batteries last 6 months on average before you have to change them (at least for us. We're in and out a lot). You'll know when it's time to change the batteries, because the light will be more dim and will turn on & off unnecessarily. C batteries are inexpensive, so you shouldn't be complaining about changing the batteries once every 6 months. Easy installation and easy to change the batteries. I forgot to add that it is weather proof, so dont worry about rain. It is turned in a downward direction when it rains. No water has ever got inside the unit.

This does the trick
My new old house had no porch light and the electrician quoted an obscene amount to run new wiring, so I hit on this motion-sensing Mr. Beams light. Smart me. ;-) A painless and easy solution. Installed in minutes and works like the proverbial charm. It’s compact and unobtrusive but has a wide adjustable scope, so it lights the way when the neighbor’s cat visits at night or the Amazon delivery arrives after dark. I ordered a second light for the side gate so I can see to unlock the back door at night. So overall very good but I deducted a star because it should be easier to change the batteries.

Nice light for bat prevention
I bought these lights after looking at reviews that mentioned bats. Last year we had a bat that wanted to take up residence at night where the pergola meets the soffit of our house. We left our deck light on last year after reading the bats don’t like light, so this year I purchased these lights to put at three areas on the ledge. So far they are working, it’s a little early in the season, but I am confident that they will keep the bats away. They are very bright, and they come on with any motion. I will mention that installation was a little tricky on the first one, trying to get the cover off. But once I got the hang of it, I was able to adjust the other two.

GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY
I am retired and live in a condo project of attached duplexes. In 2015, I installed a FULCRUM 20031 battery powered motion light under the overhang of the front porch which operates on 4 x C Cell batteries to illuminate the porch and has worked very well having a battery life of 12-15 months. The FULCRUM is a little big for some under-eave locations. I felt a need to illuminate the walkway to the porch and first purchased a small BIGLIGHT 6-LED and installed it under the eaves along the walkway. The BIGLIGHT operates on 3 x AA batteries and I found that the battery life was less than 2 months. No one likes dragging out a ladder every 6 weeks to change batteries. After further reading, I noted that battery motion lights that operate on AA batteries seems to garner many complaints over their short battery life.During my reading, I had dumped this Mr. Beams MB310 light into my Cart but ignored it because of the low price or $9 believing that it was likely inferior (junk). I went back and read the reviews for this MB310 and found that despite the low price, it fostered very favorable reviews, particularly for battery life probably because it used 3 x C cells and not AA batteries. I ordered one and installed it under the eaves to replace the BIGLIGHT.REVIEW: The MB310 is GREAT for tight or hidden locations being only 3-1/4” High x 3-1/4” Deep x 3-3/4” Wide with the bracket. Virtually the entire body canister is for containing the batteries. The unit has a twist off front lens/cover with the battery compartment integrated into a single piece making battery changes easy. The Directions are simple and straightforward. READ THE DIRECTIONS before attempting to remove the mounting bracket for installation and removing the battery retainer cap as it is a bit tricky to avoid damaging the unit. The screws that come with the unit are for mounting to drywall or stucco. For wood, I used any small 1/2” – 5/8” round headed screws. The 80 Lumens is quite adequate. It is a very nicely designed unit made of plastic which deserves careful handling during surface mounting and removal/installation of the face for battery changes. Now, if I can get a battery life of nine months or more, this light will be a first-rate hit.

Works great. Quality construction.
Easy install. Lights up when it needs to, doesn't when it doesn't need to. Used to light up a door on north side of house that existing fixtures did not reach. I can't say yet on battery life, but I should have got this years ago.I bought another color version of this same product and had an issue with it. Deseree from Mr. Beams customer sevice replaced it and now that one is working perfectly.
