Who needs taste
Well it's a raw and natural product which usually means it's probably not going to appeal to those who favour taste over health benefits. It doesn't taste of much at all which makes it great for adding stuff like chillies or gherkins etc. Fantastic product, will buy more.

Organic Raw Black Sesame Tahini
Nothing wrong with the product which is as it states. But I didn't find it as tasty or digestible as the light, creamed variety of tahini that I usually buy. (This of course is only a personal thing, not a reflection on the product.)

Strange appearance and no taste, but moving fast!
My daughter really, REALLY loves this stuff! It does not have much of a taste, however. And it does not have the usual nutty taste you get with regular tahini. We are almost at the point where the bottom of the jar is visible! Nuff said!

Much better if the sesame was baked before grinding
Ordered this product with full expectation of healthy food as described. When we opened the jar we were surprised- it does not smell like the tahini that we were used to but instead the aroma was very blend or even a bit strange. After baking the tahini it started smelling more like the ordinary tahini flavour. I guess it is the original taste of raw black sesame... Anyway, think it would be much better if baked before grinding.

No taste. No sesame flavour and is bland. The maker should have stir fried the sesame first before grinding to bring out the flavour.

Raw is richer and more satisfying than the slightly toasted black sesame tahini. Very slight bitter taste of raw doesn't bother me since I find I don't need to eat as much as toasted version, and easily remedied with a tiny bit of jam.

I did not check out the ingredients and there is added oil. Not ideal.

Took over a month and half to be delivered. Looked like the lid was loose -tasted horrible. Probably it was bad. Discarded the product.
