Happy with my purchase.

I’m quite a typewriter rookie, I don’t know the names for things quite yet so I’ll call the inky ribbony things “ribbon” and the black wheels the ribbon comes on the “spools”. the typewriter I have is called zephyr smith corona deluxe and correct spools for this typewriter with ribbons attached are not supplied in the uk, the spools that came with this ribbon set didn’t fit in my typewriter, so I ended up playing around with things for a long time and eventually realised that I could sort of “reribbon” my old (smaller) spools with my new ribbon. So I unwound the ribbon from my old spools and came across a metal ring that holds the ribbon onto the spools, this ring is quite easy to click on and off of the spools btw. So I unattached the old ribbon and attached the new ribbon! It took a bit of working out to understand whether the ribbon goes from left to right or right to left, turns out it goes left to right, which means put the full spool on the left and put the practically empty one on the right!!! Anyway the gist of it is, the ink comes out well when you figure out how to do it properly, therefor it’s a good product and deserves 5 stars, and as long as the ribbon is thin enough for your spools is should work for your typewriter as well. I hope I’ve helped some other typewriter newbies out there! I apologise for any poor spelling and grammar, it’s certainly not my strong point, alongside any improper typewriter terminology😁

‘Universal fitting’ is difficult to assess when the old spool and the replacement do not have the same number of fixing holes. Happily, mine fitted but I read others have not had the same experience. Too early to assess print quality over time.

Ribbon was dry, unusable.

Je restaure une vieille machine à écrire et j'avais besoin d'un ruban de remplacement. Celui-ci est bien ajusté et, grâce à son encre, mes caractères sont bien nets. Il y un peu de contamination noir sur le parti rouge pendant utilisation, mais je crois que c'est normale.

Arrivés très vite, s'adaptant parfaitement sur une machine à écrire des années 70, je suis ravis de cet article! Je ne savais pas qu'on pouvait encore trouver des rubans encreurs de nos jours. Ça nous a permis de faire revivre une machine à écrire trouvée dans un vide grenier et d'avoir le plaisir d'entendre à nouveau le tac tac tac de cet engin rigolo!! ☺️
