Good strong bags that stand up well to heat and eat from the pouch.
Nice meal pouch bags. I was skeptical about the mil thickness advertised but was very please with how thick and sturdy these bags are. Ideal size for a single large serving of freeze dried foods. Bags come sealed from the manufacturer which is really important so they are clean. The seals are easy to open and reseal and plenty of edge space for heat sealing. These function well for my long term food storage for ready made meals. When I vacuum seal the bags they hold the seal very well. Great product for back packers and campers with gusseted bottoms so the bag can stand up for filling with liquid and you can easily eat direct from the pouch.

Great thick leak proof bags
Holds 2 servings good, just add hot water stir, seal it and let sit 10minuts and eat. Nice and thick at 8 mils. Good price for the money, I will get these again.

Good bags. Have held their seals.
I have a freeze dryer and make my own MREs from leftovers or dedicated meals. I also use it for general food storage; that convenience of instant rice is also possible with noodles and vegetables and such. Anyways, I was using the quart size bags that I use for food storage, for my MREs as well. They worked, just a bit deep. Often times I’d just cut a notch further down the bag and tear it across. Can get a little messy. So I got these bags for MREs specifically and I’m happy I did so. They’re shallower so I can reach all the contents from the mouth of the bag, and the mouth being so large gives me plenty of room to get the contents in the bag for storage, and to access the warmed up food when eating. I have a chamber vacuum sealer I use to make the package as small as can be and remove air to help preserve the foods. It’s got an 11” width and these fit perfectly in it and on the sealing bar. So far every bag has been suctioned in still showing it’s held its seal.

Expensive and worth every penny.
Yes, they cost more. But you really really do get what you pay for. THICK. DURABLE. So thick, it can be difficult to seal them with a cheap sealer. These are industrial grade food protection, buy them only if you REALLY want to eat the food 25 years later lol. The capacity is as advertised.

An airport must
We've been freeze drying a lot of meals but these are our favorite for airport days. Airports can be food deserts when you have food allergies so we throw these in our bags then ask for a cup of hot water at a coffee shop. Hot, satisfying meals on the go without paying airport prices. It has made travel days so much better! We also use them camping or when my husband wants a quick, hot meal for lunch at work.

Nice for MRE type meals, can just add boiling water and seal, then good to eat. Would be better if the seal strip on the top was a bit wider
