This wire is the real deal! I purchased the 20ft 12g version. My project required me to removed the solar connector ends (which is a shame because they are very high quality) and just use the wire with XT-60 connectors on one end and bare wire on the other end. This allowed me to inspect the physical construction of the wire. I'm happy to report that this wire is indeed an honest and true 12g wire. It's actually a bit heavier than 12g, perhaps closer to 11g at 4.0 sq mm cross section. It is composed of tinned copper strands, just like the items description states. Each of the two conductors is coated in two separate layers of insulation that are very thick and substantial. Despite their thickness, the wires retain good flexibility for installing in tight places. Both conductors are wrapped in an outer flame-resistant sheath. If your use case calls for wire with thicker insulation for abrasion resistance, this is the wire that you want! In my case, I used this to power a high current accessory in my car and ran the wires through the firewall grommet and connected directly to the car battery (after adding a fuse, of course). Having the extra high temperature rating is exactly what I was looking for in a 12g wire. In the image that I've attached, the Bateria Power Solar to XT60 Charge Extension Cable is on the right side. Another, more generic, cable that I've used is on the left. Both feature actual 12g wire, so you can see the difference in relative thickness of the overall wires. If you are looking for a heavy gauge wire with excellent insulation and good thermal ratings, the Bateria Extension Cable is the one you want. A few other reviews complained about the price per foot metric. Taking into account the quality of construction (three separate layers of insulation, thicker than 12g wire, flexibility), I was pleased with the price/performance ratio. Great stuff!

The cable perfectly connects my EcoFlow solar powered generators to the solar panels. The thicker wires (lower gauge, numerically) deliver more power to the units compared to the EcoFlow cables, making the systems more efficient.

nice set should get the job done

appears to be well made , easy install, functions as intende, but I have no idea what the green caps are for.

No complaints. Heavy gauge wire but still pretty flexible. I like the black outer jacket too, looks good and adds an extra protective layer.
