PROBLEM WITH PIDGONS - NOT ANY MORE!
I had a very expensive canopy installed in my yard. After about two days the birds stating to sue it as their hang out spot. Of course with the birds come bird droppings. After some research I came across this caulk and determined it would be the best method to remedy my issue. The instructions say this stuff is sticky. Boy they were not kidding. Why going to apply this a highly recommend you wear close you intend to discard afterward. Regardless how careful you are it will get on you! I followed the application directions and applied it in a zig-zag manner on my canopy. Needless to say it worked like a charm and NO MORE BIRDS! I ordered the three pack, but only used one tube. If those little S.O.B's return I am ready!

GREAT STUFF WITH SOME CAVEATS
I AM SANDWICHED IN A ROW HOUSE BETWEEN NEIGHBORS WHO FEED THE BIRDS BREAD., SO, I AM PLAGUED BY HOARDS OF BIRDS. THE BIRDS WOULD SIT ON THE WROUGHT IRON FENCE OF MY PATIO OHH ...10 TO 12 BIRDS AT A TIME ON 2 SIDES OF MY 4 SIDED FENCE, ON THE REGULAR AND JUST DO THEIR BUSINESS LIKE IT WAS LITERALLY A BATHROOM. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THAT GROUP THING. ANYWAY, I WENT NUTS TRYING DETERRANTS...PREDATOR DECOYS, SPINNERS, OILS, SPRAYS, HOME REMEDIES...YOU NAME IT. I HESITATED TRYING THIS GEL FOR FEAR OF BIRDS GETTING STUCK AND THE MESS. HERE IS THE REVIEW WITH THE CAVEATS THAT PREVENT IT FROM BEING A 5 STAR ITEM. I DECIDED TO SPREAD IT ALLLL AROUND ON EACH LITTLE 5 ISH INCH SECTION OF MY FENCE (DESPERATION) AS WELL AS ON THE BOTTOM WRUNG SECTIONS...I USED A CRAFT STICK AND A MEDIUM COATING, NOT THICK SO AS NOT TO GET THEM STUCK, BUT BOTHERED. WELL, IT TOOK A FEW DAYS BECAUSE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF BIRDS I AM DEALING WITH, BUT ONCE A BIRD LANDED ON MY FENCE ONCE, THEY DID NOT COME BACK. THEY MUST HAVE TOLD THEIR BUDDIES TOO. I GET TICKLED SOMETIMES WHEN I SEE THEM REMEMBER ABOUT THE GEL ON THE FENCE AND CHANGE DIRECTION MID AIR. THEY STILL SWOOP AND FLY DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO MY HEAD, BUT, THEY DO NOT USE MY FENCE FOR THEIR BATHROOM, ANYMORE. IT IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE THING I HAVE FOUND. THE CAVEATS: 1. IT IS VERY STICKY AND NOT EASILY REMOVED SO IT LOCKS THEM OUT, BUT, LIMITS MY USE TOO. 2.THE BIRDS AND SQUIRRELS HAVE MESSED UP MY FURNITURE COVERS TRYING TO GET THE GEL OFF OF THEM. 3. I HAVE TO KEEP GOING OUT TO CLEAN OFF THE FEATHERS AND MISC THAT ARE CAUGHT...BUT WORSE, THE ZILLION INSECTS CAUGHT.. (YUCK)..WHAT CAN I SAY..I BOUGHT SOME MORE.... GOOD LUCK.

Affordable Pigeon Solution!
Recently found a pigeon in our office building! Seems they have taken a liking to the place. Managed to coax that one back outside, but then, reviewing the premises, found several nesting and perching spots, with a lot of messy bird droppings, and a constant cooing sound where they had cozied up to several spots in the eaves. A professional pest remover was going to cost hundreds, or even more, so went online and good old Amazon stocks this product. It's basically just a very sticky substance that the birds don't like, since they can't comfortably nest. So, a deterrent to them settling in to stay. This was incredibly effective. Shooed them away from their various spots, laid down some beads of this stuff, following the provided instructions, and they came back to each spot just once, encountered this product, and promptly took off, and did not return. A few of them lost a few feathers, but none of them got stuck or trapped. They have not been back since, and we applied this in late April (is now nearly June). It has survived sun and rain and, even if another application is needed, it's very easy to apply, just using a standard caulking gun. Less than twenty bucks, only used one tube to solve our pigeon problem and still have two tubes left if they ever come back -- saved us a minimum pest removal cost of over $300, and, considering they said it could cost a thousand dollars, up to several thousand or more to "bird proof" our building, this was a massive cost savings! Very thankful to have come across this remedy. DISCLAIMER: No pigeons were harmed in the use of this product, or in the writing of this review! ;-)

It works! HUZZAH!
I would like you to understand the insanity that I've been driven to trying to keep the woodpeckers off my house. I've fed them suet, put up shiny things and (since it's the back if the house) straight up nailed a board over the top of the holes in progress. I even tried hot sauce... NOTHING worked. There's no rot in our boards - my neighbor explained it's a territory thing. After a long few days working from home and going nuts with the pecking I bought this in desperation. I was briefly worried about the reviews that said it hurt the birds then I remembered the CONSTANT pecking and decided I could live with possibly hurting the little F-ers ruining my siding. The day the tubes arrived I was working from home and heard the song of the woodpecker's people hammering into my siding (and my skull) and took immediate action. I lugged the ladder out and slathered the side of my house with this goo. I used gloves and was very careful to keep it off me. This stuff is THICK and would be very hard to apply without a caulk gun. I haven't heard a SINGLE peck since and it's been a month. I checked around my yard for the first few days for signs of a struggling woodpecker, but I never saw anything. This goo is magic and worth its weight in gold. I HIGHLY recommend for woodpeckers. You can put it on the side of your house; it's thick enough to stay put. --------- Edited to add 2 years later IT STILL WORKS. They're now attacking the front of my house and I dug out the goo & will apply tomorrow. I gave my neighbor a tube. This stuff is amazing. Buy it! -------- 3 years later & the woodpeckers are knocking at the back of my house again near the previous spots. We'll re-apply this weekend & hopefully get 3 more woodpecker free years out of this application. My entire neighborhood (that backs against woods) is using this product now because of our success. We live outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota & are dealing with red bellied woodpeckers in case that's helpful to know.

Works great - No birds - No bird droppings - Yay
This stuff does exactly what it is supposed to do. Discourage birds from roosting and building nests wherever you apply it. We had birds building nests under our deck and leaving droppings all over the patio beneath. I applied this product to the areas where the birds liked to hang out and now they stay away. It is very effective and durable but harmless to the birds. It just feels sticky to their feet and they stay off. It annoys them. Be careful applying it or you will learn firsthand, how well it works. I was applying it to the area we needed to treat and got just a dab of it on the side of the caulking gun. No big deal till I brushed my and against it and tried to rub it off on a cloth which only spread it on my hand further and managed to get it on the other hand too. Now I needed to go inside to clean up which means I had to touch the door knob. Now there is goo there too. Stay with me. Now at the sink I realize water is not taking it off and the knob there now has a slight residue too. Washing my hands is only spreading things around BOTH hands now. And it is so slight and barely noticeable but the feel of it is unmistakable. Now my wife comes home and asks me what is on the door knob and why does her hand feel sticky. I loudly proclaim, "Don't ... touch ... anything!" I thought the alcohol in hand sanitizer would help but I was wrong. In the end the only thing that worked for me was to just rub hard with a towel until it went away. Apparently the birds learn faster than I do.

DO NOT PUT OVER CAR!!
This goop worked well to prevent birds from sitting on our back wall. However, after it rained for a few days here in Phoenix (monsoon season), it left quite a few smudge marks on my car. I put the repellent on the branches over my car in hopes it will prevent birds from continually pooping on it and while it prevented some birds from perching, the resulting mess it left has me wishing for the days it was just poop on the windshield. It is very difficult to clean and I'm sure is not great for the exposed car machinery (windshield wipers, headlights). **UPDATE** It has rained and this goop has now adhered to my car windows and will not clean off. DO NOT PUT THIS ANYWHERE YOU PARK YOUR CAR! Learn from my mistake, I am seriously regretting putting this over the branches near my car. If you plan to use this near any glass, be prepared to use a little elbow grease to clean it up. I would recommend placing ONLY in areas that will not be seen or need to be cleaned ie. roof tiles. An FYI, use dots about this wide (___) when applying. I noticed people said it trapped birds and after reviewing their photos, it looks like a majority of the complaints show a wide patch of goop, which understandably creates a tar pit that is not easy for birds to escape.

Only thing that worked for pesky pigeons
We had an issue with pigeons sitting in a gutter and pooping on our balcony everywhere. We tried various spikes, reflectors and noise makers and none of them seemed to work. They sat on top of the spikes and didn’t seem to mind anything else we tried. I got this and lined the inside and outer edge of my gutter and within a few days the pigeons stopped coming! A month later and the pigeons have not returned and my balcony is finally clean! I’m very happy with this purchase and wish I had gotten this first. It was very easy to apply with a caulking gun and I still have a whole tube left.
