The vest is exactly as advertised, lightweight, adjustable and easy to use. The ice packs come flat with some crystals inside which turn to gel when water is added and shaken. I made sure not to overfill them, which is clearly marked on the instructions. There's also extra ice packs and an insulated bag for carrying them, sort of Iike a lunch bag. If you're looking for a lightweight cooling vest at an affordable price, I recommend this one.

Pros: Working in the heat with the ice packs is awesome. I put it over a t-shirt, and usually I wear another t-shirt over it to secure it and hold the cold packs tight to my body.2 sets of cold packs is mandatory if you're working more than a couple of hours; I appreciate that it comes with 8.The light mesh is great. It breathes and doesn't add more weight.Cons: Materials are all a little cheap, but the price of the item is low, so I feel like this it's a washOne of the straps came unraveled after about a month of occasional use. I'm just going to sew it back and not worry about it, but the elastic is the cheap kind that will eventually just lose all of its elasticity.If you work outdoors in the heat, or especially attic spaces (HVAC, etc.) you should try this out, but if it is really useful, you may end up spending more to get a better quality vest

This is a really great cooling vest. Temperatures here in Florida can be in the 90s by 8am. This vest has made it possible to continue exercise/walking over 2 miles everyday. It easily adjusted to a size small, the open sides and airy material make it cool and comfortable. The ice packs fit in the vest easily as long as you don't over fill them and they stay frozen for the hour &1/2 that I have it on.

It helped keep me cool and very hot temperatures, lasted about an hour and a half. Would be more practical if the vest was longer as it currently hits just above the waist. It's hard to keep the ice packs frozen in hot temperatures using the thermal container that is provided. I've had to use and ice chest that is better insulated, and although it's takes longer to melt, it still does.

I was scheduled to ride in a horse clinic for a weekend with temps to be near 100. I am a senior and can't handle the heat well. I have had evaporative vests before and they are ok, not great and they wear out, losing their cooling. This vest did a darn good job for me, for the price. The ice packs stayed cool for hours. It looked funny to have lumps on my back but was worth it. I am small and took took it in a bit but no big deal. It was worth buying even if just for the one weekend. The extra ice packs are nice as well and so are the carrying cases.

I bought the vest because where I work gets really hot. I was waiting for it with excitement and couldn’t wait to use it but it was a huge disappointment. After 30 minutes wearing it, it made me warmer and so unbearable to wear. I still weared it for a few more days hoping it would keep me cool for longer than a few minutes but no it was the same and again it made me feel so warm . I decided to not wear it anymore but wouldn’t return it since I already bought it . So what I did was take the little packs as ice packs for my lunch box and it was nicely keep in there and today I notice one ripped. I thought maybe something punctured it but no it was where they heat mealted the plastic where it ripped . I am so disappointed and upset . I tried to like it and even overlooked the cooling problem and continued using the ice packs to use my money worth on it but after It ripped I had to write this review. It wasn’t cheap to begin with so for it to last less than a month with crossed the line . Literally less than 22 days with .

First impressions…will update when I actually wear and use it. I tried it on without the ice packs to see if it would even fit me.1. The vest itself is one size and tiny on my body. I didn’t realize it would be one size. The width is about 9inches and length is 16.5inches and a few inches longer in the back.2. The pockets for the ice packs are smaller than expected. They measure 8in by 4.75in. They also appear to be two pocket in one to maybe place two ice packs? I’m not sure because one of them might fall out. I was hoping to use some of my own ice packs. But they won’t fit.3. The fillable ice packs are strange…A. The opening to fill them is tiny. I have no idea how they close and seal up but they do.B. I’m unsure if it’s just a one time fill deal or what because once I filled them I cannot figure out how to open them again. If I return it, I’m unsure how to get it back to original condition.C. I used a straw stuck down in the hole to fill them better because initially the water wasn’t going into the pack. But when i filled it enough I guess I messed something up because the pack is fatter than the others. Like it’s fully of air.D. So far the ice packs have not gotten hard and they’ve been in the freezer for about 8 hours. Prior to buying it I did wonder how the ice vest would be “comfortable” with hard/sharp ice packs.4. I’m an XXL and I have it adjusted to the biggest it can go and it’s a little snug.I’m using this because I have a heat intolerance and I’m hoping it will help my symptoms related to being in the heat. I will report back but whether it helps or not doesn’t really change my review or would possibly help someone since we are all in different bodies.I wore this outside and it is not cooling enough. I tried it in between a tank and shirt and also over my bra directly on skin. It’s really strange that the ice is somewhat cold out of the freezer but not cold on my body. I don’t know if I’m just too fat for it to be effective or what. I have POTS so I guess I’d need lots of ice to cool me down.
