Hillsdale Furniture Molly Bed with Pull Out Trundle, Twin, White

Not as sturdy as I would have liked.

We ordered this bed prior to Christmas and immediately began setting it up for our guest room, since our kids were coming home to our new house for Christmas--one from college. My husband pulled out the bed frame from the box, and found that the bed frame was rusted, with the black baked-on coating coming off in large pieces. The bed also appeared very lightweight and flimsy--not what you would expect, given the high price for this twin bed. We immediately asked for and received a refund. Unfortunately, we had to put the mattress on the floor for this visit home.

We are using this bed as a guest bed. The trundle is great. Nice solid, wide wheels. The main bed is flimsy. Two nights after our guest slept in it, the headboard and footboard were leaning in towards each other. We tried to tighten up the screws, which helped straighten it out, but I'm totally uncomfortable because I'm afraid that the bed isn't going to hold up, and that one of these nights the bed might collapse when someone is sleeping in it. Might be okay for a small child, but not sure it will hold up under the weight of a normal sized adult.

The bed is flimsy, the headboard and footboard lean in towards each other. We have tried tightening up the screws, but nothing has helped. Its a pretty looking bed, but I wouldn't recommend it. I will probably have to buy a new bed when my daughter goes into her big girl bed.
