Nice stainless steel plate, but does not work with magnets.
I should have researched stainless steel. I though steel was steel, but magnets do not stick on stainless steel. Learned something new I guess.

Just be aware that it is magnetic. I should have checked the reviews first. A nice mirror finish sheet. I would have preferred non magnetic but it will still work. Ferritic and martensitic stainless steel grades are magnetic. For example, 410, 420, and 440 (martensitic) and 409, 430, and 439 (ferritic) stainless steel are magnetic. Austenitic stainless steel grades, like 304 and 316, are generally non-magnetic.

Great Sheet Metal Stock
I bought this when my darling wifey was having trouble removing the top to our chicken waterer. I cut it to shape, Dremeled out openings to fit some aluminum "angle iron", glued the "manually bent" (to match the curved profile of the waterer body) sheet metal to the outside of the waterer. It works! Nothing fancy at all. This is a nice reasonably priced chunk of stainless sheet metal that met my needs.

Wrong thickness. Listing states 12 x 6 x 0.02 inches (0.02" thick). The label states 0.018" thick.

Ordered this to make a part for my 72 year old classic motorbike gearbox. The part I needed was unobtainable this sheet was exactly the right thickness so I made a replacement and it worked out perfectly.

Was perfect for my needs. Used it to make a surface magnet friendly by using epoxy to stick it on a vertical wood surface. Sheet came straight and with a plastic layer to protect the surface. Dimensions were exactly as specified.
