Every chapter is concise, to the point, and informative. I learned allot as a result of reading this simple book.

Who would have thought that there are so many different creation stories of Ganesh. Very well written and a very interesting read. The different creation stories do tell in what area or realm it was created.

Great review, quick read and can be explained to kids.I enjoyed the book. Due to the short stories, can be finished in a couple of hours.Brings back a lot of memories to me.

Only browsed through it so far and already impressed. Studying comparative religion, anthropology and mythology has been a hobby for almost 40 years, so I am not easily impressed, these stories are well researched and treated with the respect they deserve.

My kids love it and my husband and I read through it all the time.

For me, this is concisely and clearly written with good insight into stories surrounding Ganesha

its a good starter book on ganesha

Bought as a gift for a friend who is mad about Ganesha. She liked it a lot and told me, surprisingly, that there was much in it that she hadn't known. Lightly but enlighteningly written.

When I decided I wanted to know more about Ganesha, I bought several books on the subject. This was the only one that did what it claimed to do, providing me with the background knowledge I was looking for in a well-ordered and enjoyable way.

As usual Devdutt has written a really good book on Ganesh. His artistry and drawings are brilliant. I have read quite a few unfair comments on Devdutt which I feel is most disappointing. I am just a novice in this area and he has been a really great teacher. I hope that he continues his writing on this subject and look forward to once again reading another of his great books.
