Q: Is this the one police use?

The ones police use have prongs attached to wires that shoot out and embed into the skin of person it is shot towards. Prices for those start at around $300 each. Type in "Pulse Taser with cartridge" here on Amazon to find that type. This one has to be touched to a person. It packs a punch and works through a hoodie. The noise it makes and the sparks that fly from it are intimidating on their own. This is what I bought for my daughter to carry along with some mace and an audible alarm with pull switch.

Q: Did anyone test it out on themselves or another person?

Yes I tested it out on my next door neighbor who I don't like and he is still flapping around on the floor like a fish out of water. Do you think I should check on him now

It's a rather snug one on the back, but yes it does!!!!!

Every woman should have this

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! I had another one that was given to me, looked like a flashlight, however, I dropped it once & it broke. This seems very sturdy & well made. I LOVE the holder & it makes me feel so much safer now,!

Heavy duty

This definitely is a keeper. I love how the Alarm is extremely Loud, that thing goes off it’ll wake up anyone. Taser is heavy duty I like it so far.

Things are not made like they use to

I bought this a wild back and it lost it’s charge by the time I got around return 😩😏was to later made me very sad.

Works well

I used it to scare off three dogs in separate instances, where the owner didn't keep their dog on a leash. Each dog did a quick 180 when I turned the unit on. Haven't had the need to use it on a human....yet.

I love that it has an alarm

I am 63 and as a woman I like to keep something in my purse besides my pepper spray. The first time I didn't figure out that you have to turn on after you charge it the little switch at the bottom. Soon as I did that and I pressed the sound wow it was loud so I know it will do its job and the alarm was loud enough to where it scared my cat I would definitely recommend this
