Comfortable and reasonably durable
This is my preferred style of underwear and I have nearly 20 pairs of these (I don't like doing laundry too often). A quick estimate suggests that each pair has now been worn (and laundered) about 36 times.Problems with just two pairs after two years. Both of them have "laddered" just below the double front panel, and one now has a small hole. Other reviewers have hinted that the material from which they're made may be on the thin side. Personally, I can live with this level of durability. At the time of writing this, 90% of other reviewers give them four or five stars. I think that's a fair assessment. I'd buy them again.

If it’s what you’re looking for there good quality. Not too small and not baggy. Will buy again.

Great material, design and fit ... but watch out for the red ones!
The design, materials and fit was fine. But there's a problem with the red briefs. Even after they have been washed, they create a red liquid when in contact with urine. They are lined with a white material but it doesn't stop the dye from coming through. I've bought this style of briefs for many years and it's good to see that they are still well made and fit properly. Normally I'd rate them 5 stars. But somebody goofed badly with the red dye. No wonder the price was so low. The blue versions don't have the problem nor do the white ones. I threw the red ones in the trash.

Comfortable everyday all-cotton briefs with pouch
My husband has been wearing these for decades, so whenever I see them at a good price I order them for him. They wash well in warm water. They fit comfortably (or so he says). They last a long time. He likes some patterns/colors better than others, but that’s a matter of personal taste, not product quality. There are a lot of colors to choose from!

Elance Poco Briefs Are Back!
I was very disappointed to discover Jockey discontinued the Elance Poco mid briefs at the retail level. I've been buying this style since the early '80s when baseball player Jim Palmer was on the package. Was told by the retailer that Jockey's "Stay New" #8492 are the model that replaced the Elance Poco style. They fit okay, but I felt a little shrink wrapped in them. They are 95% cotton/5% spandex. The deal breaker was the dense stitching around the base of the waistband- it dug into my waist & was really apparent when wearing jeans. So happy to find out that Jockey resurrected the Elance Poco style & that they are available online. I've read comments about the fabric being thin, fitting small, causing itching & so on. I found they are the same for fit & comfort as they were before being discontinued. A smooth waistband & breathable 100% cotton, which I prefer. From the '80s to present, they always shrunk a little after washing, but fit comfortable. As for fabric, it is a little thinner compared to when they were made in the USA in the '80s to early '00s. After the US, I think the manufacturing switched to Mexico, then Jamaica & finally Honduras, where they were made for the final years before being discontinued & continue to be made there for the online versions. The online versions don't have tags, it's an embossed label on the back panel of the brief, showing the Jockey name, size & where they are made. They come in a wide variety of colours, which is really nice. Haven't seen these in red since the '80s! Seemed to be black, white & grey that were available at retail in the '00s & early '10s. The packaging isn't the matte plastic cases, like when they were sold in retail. Now, 2 briefs come in a plastic baggie to save on weight & extra bulk for shipping through the mail. I really hope Jockey don't discontinue these great brief because they are the only ones I have found that fit excellent & are so comfortable to wear..
