Holy crap
No disappointment here. These are sweet. Hard hitting bass. Nothing bad to say. Thy rock like all the good stuff from the 80’s. Don’t hesitate if your in the market for some new speakers you won’t be disappointed these boys make the noise. 5 out of 5.

Old School Rockers with Better Sound!
I really wanted Cerwin Vegas but just couldn't afford them. When I found these I was hesitant because of the low price but decided to give them a try anyways. I thought I'd be giving a 1-2 star review but I was wrong! These things actually sound really good. Better mids and highs than your probably thinking. Oh and did I mention the BASS!?! They hit hard, like you should expect from a 15" woofer. In another review I read someone mentioned the base drops off under 50HZ, uh Nope. I'm getting good clean bass down to the low/mid 30'sHZ range. They really do look nice also, and I love the shape of the grill at the bottom that allows you to see those ports with the grill on. And the ports won't eat my 3yr olds hot wheels (see picture).

Whoops! LIMITED LIFESPAN - Not Old Timey Construction! 2 Stars Off
The salient points:Bear in mind these are not speakers meant to last. 3 yrs of low volume low bass, background "relaxing" (elevator) music - never high volume, never rock - these have now developed a rattle! The speaker has apparently detached from the surround or it simply degenerated. Moist climate, temperate temps. So like, why? Bad construction - 3rd world glue?. Something of a now 60 yr old design made cheap but triple the price? UGH!As new: These are large so they throw a good deal of "full" sound, even at low volume - not something I'd use in apartments or attached houses/condos. They will literally fill your space with sound, even at low - moderate volume.High quality audio will sound excellent; lesser quality stuff is meh. I get great fidelity out of both well cut digital music, and much of my old vinyl too. These are not miracle speakers - you'll get out of them what you put in.Audiophiles: They have better than average fidelity with music played at lower volume and complex orchestral stuff. This is something inefficient speakers generally lack, i.e., bass falls off and high treble is muffled unless the music is blasted at which time the bass out sounds the mid & highs. At higher volume the bass is very strong but "contained" and somewhat regulatable with your amp. You can hear the individual bass end instruments. I like orchestral music. So I consider these speakers very efficient. These are quite large and very heavy (62 lbs). Make sure you want them before you order. Shipping back will cost you over $300.Limited lifespan.

Big Sound
Ok, I'll start by saying I'm no audiophile by any measure, so all the technical sound measurements go way over my head. My ears are not sophisticated enough to detect subtleties that audiophiles enjoy. That said, I'm very satisfied with these speakers. To my ears, they sounds awesome! They certainly can fill a large room or patio with lots of sound and the bass is tons of fun! If you like your music loud with a healthy dose of bass, I think you'll like these speakers.

Careful of ad it is misleading
I bought one of these speakers, thinking I had bought two. The ad says "speakers" and the picture shows two speakers. Be aware this is the price of only one speaker. The next day I ordered another which one week after my order has still not shown up ( apparently they have now priority shipped the second). The speaker that did show up was shipped Federal express and the box was scary, many holes and had been re-taped several times. The speaker came out though with only a few small dings and because of the hassle this far I am just going to keep it. If or when I get the second one I will listen to them, I hate to run different rated speakers on my amp.Ok just one more thing to be aware of. The dimensions they give you under product details are also not correct (who checks these ads)? The actual dimensions on the speaker I recieved are 39"x 17 5/8" x 11 5/8" . I hope this will help you on your purchase. You may e-mail if you have questions.T. C.

Absolute garbage
I have had these for a while now. They are being beat by an $80. Pair of bookshelf speakers. The laminate is peeling from the corners. These speakers are a rip off and quite frankly they should not exceed $100. a pair. Complete junk. Buy speakers of quality for this price. Not these.Take this money and buy quality bookshelf speakers. As people continue to get ripped off I can only hope bic America goes under. Absolute junk

EXCELLENT THUMP!
Just got these speakers and found them to be excellent. I was a disc jockey for 10 years in california, and i've been looking for a pair of big speakers with a 15" woofer...you really have to get a 15" woofer if you want that bass thump...which i love....and these speakers didn't disappoint. I don't have that big a receiver to push them, but the volume level, tight bass thump, crystal clear mids and extra fine high end make this overall speaker one to be reckoned with. I can't believe they were only a bit over $100. Trust me. If you have the room for a big speaker, and want great sound and especially a big thump on the bottom end that's tight, not distorted and packs a real punch, check these out...you can't go wrong!

Almost Audiophile Speakers for Pennies
To sum these speakers up concisely I would have to say: audiophile quality speakers for dirt cheap. These speakers sound amazing and for me to say that about something this cheap means something. The whole audio spectrum sounds very good on these speakers until you hit around 60 hz--then the bass starts to cut out--but hey that's what the subwoofer is for anyway. I have two of these getting 135 watts RMS each plus a 12 inch polk subwoofer and the music sounds almost flawless. Unless you are an audiophile I don't think you will be able to find anything wrong with these speakers. Even after over a year of having them I am still amazed at how amazing they sound. Buy these speakers you cannot go wrong for the price or the quality.
