Probes work well. I'm using 4 of them with pressure and temperature sensos to record record my HVAC units to track the BTU/hr output of the furnace and heat pumps. My only complaint is that the magnets are installed backward on the probes. They are even shown backward in all the product photos, so mine are not sample defects. The cup enclosing the magnet should be on the "outside" (the side with the barb for the tubing) and the magnet should be directly facing the metal of the HVAC duct. The way they come, the magnet is very weak, because it is shielded by the cup. Properly installed, the cup bends the magnetic field toward the duct, allowing the duct to complete the magnetic "circuit". This flaw is easily fixed. I loosely set each probe in a vise, with the barb up and cup against the jaws, and used a plastic hammer (to prevent damage to the barb) to knock the tube out of the cup. It appeared that the cups had been glued on, so I used JB Weld epoxy to reassemble with the magnets facing the duct. Use care to keep the magnet/cup square on the tube while it cures. I used a red Sharpie to mark a new indicator aligned with the probe tip.

The hoses seem a little flimsy but the probes are built well. They do what they need to do.
