Classic fighting game returns
Cracking 2D beat em up -similar to king of fighters -fast fluid gameplay, good graphics, good online play…the only issue with all of these games is that the basic style of 2D beat em ups hasn’t changed all that much in the last 25 years -

MAI MAI MAI I love this game . Worth the extra money to get the photobook, soundtrack discs and steelbook. The game is brilliant, if you love street fighter 6 . You will love this . It also comes with season 1 pass code and Terry classic costume code inside .

A Deep and Rewarding Fighting Game With Lots of Single Player Content
Fatal Fury is a classic series which started life in the Arcades on the Neo Geo system all the way back in 1991. It was actually developed by ex-capcom staff members so the two series have had a friendly rivalry for many years, well up until 1999 at least when Garou: Mark of the Wolves was released as SNK's answer to Capcom's Street Fighter III series.Fans have had to wait an awful long time to get a true sequel and 26 years later it is finally here. As a fan it's great to see all the cliffhanger endings for each character finally resolved. The Arcade mode actually has some good introductions and endings for each of the characters and there's further story to be found for each character in the RPG-lite Episodes of South Town mode, which takes around 2 hours to complete per character so if you're interested in the characters and stories you'll get a lot of mileage out of offline play alone. You also have combo trials, survival mode, a colour edit mode to create custom appearances (a staple of old fighting games sadly missing until now) and a jukebox mode where you can create custom playlists for each stage. There is a huge amount of SNK music to choose from to keep things from getting stale. Of course the meat and potatoes of any fighting game these days is the online mode and I'm pleased to report that SNK have finally managed to sort out their online infrastructure, at the moment I'm getting Ranked matches every 15-20 seconds with good solid connections. The game includes the Season 1 pass , so there will be an extra 5 characters for every player for free including Ken and Chun Li from Street Fighter over the coming year. Hopefully there will be extra backgrounds and music included as well. It is nice to play a fighting game in 2025 and not feel gouged by this stuff. There are also 2 boss characters that are not playable at the moment but hopefully they will be balanced and find their way into the main roster. As far as this special edition goes for the extra money you get a steelbook case with 2 cd's full of the SNK music. The music is really good with a lot of modern remixes of classic themes as well as many new compositions. You also get a thick artbook with concept art and synopsis of each character (minus the two guest characters) along with stage art and some artworks from previous Fatal Fury games. There's a double sided poster of the game map which is a bit of a missed opportunity, I would have preferred a picture of the case but hey, that's preferance for you. There's 2 little sticker sheets with the logos from all the past Fatal Fury games and then you get the game itself in a usual amaray case. Honestly it's worth the extra money if you are a fan, I am very pleased with the presentation and the contents.I'm looking forward to playing the game over the coming year and seeing how it grows and develops. A perfect companion game to Street Fighter 6 which also features Terry and Mai from this game as guest characters. If you like Street Fighter and are looking for something similar but different enough to stand on it's own (the game has a lot of defensive systems and the meter system works backwards, being based on linking EX special moves together to create custom chains, but if you overdo it you'll overdrive and burn out). If you've never played a SNK game before give it a try. Just enjoy some SP content first rather than jumping straight online and there's some extremely good players out there!

A game that could have been so much better!
My personal opinion about this game:CONS1. Way too bland and boring for offline game players .2. Arcade Mode is a huge letdown that offers nothing new ( (just 7 stages with no solid end boss. Also, character endings are just still images with voice overs)3. The guest characters at launch, are terrible! complete waste of solid character slots!4. User interface is ATROCIOUS! (The worst I have seen in a fighting game).5. Music is terrible!PROS:1. Amazing graphics with good sound effects2. Easy learning curve.
