Great for Video recording! Almost perfect.
So far I am very pleased. If you purchase a fast enough SSD to put into the enclosure, this will handle and codec for video. It fits my hand well and provides extra stability for most scenarios. There is room to attach filters and most add on lenses. So far, I am really enjoying it. Con: Beware, that if you attach and shoot video with an external power bank attached, when the power runs out of the bank, the recording will stop and it will not automatically revert to using power from the iPhone.

Adhesive issues with the magnetic ring.
While setting up the hub. As I was taking off the SSD from the hub. The magnetic ring detaches from the SSD and stayed on the hub it self. I noticed that the ring is held on by adhesive. My guess is that the adhesive failed. My first thought was to reapply an epoxy adhesive but decided not to since this is brand new first impression right out of the box. Kind of disappointed. I did order another replacement. Now I know what to expect. Poor quality made in China. Go figure. I have to wait for a replacement. Cant even play with y new toy yet.

Good concept but doesn't feel worth the price and has compatibility issues with S25 Ultra
This is a cool product concept but the clamp does not open wide enough to hold a phone cage case for the S25 Ultra (like the SmallRig S25 Ultra cage). Because of that I wouldn't recommend getting this if you want to use a cage case for your larger phone so you can have additional handles or attachment points beyond what this one affords. With my basic phone case the phone fits great, the form factor of this rig is great overall, it has a good feel to it but other than the base plate part, the rest of this thing seems to be plastic which surprised me. It's not a deal breaker for me but I got this on sale so the value isn't necessarily the best for what it is (a hard drive caddy, a small phone clamp, and a bluetooth shutter button). The majority of the SSD caddy is plastic with the removable lid being machined metal. I could see this being an issue if you were to accidentally drop the caddy on its own... which brings me to my other issue with the S25 Ultra- the magnet on the drive caddy lines up with the magnets on the case which line up with the charger in the phone... but the drive caddy overlaps/covers the lowest camera on the S25. It feels attached firmly enough but... that's not going to work so that entire "it can attach direct to the phone" aspect doesn't seem to work with the S25 Ultra. The main body of this thing is mostly metal with the front half of the grip, the front plate under the drive caddy, and the main body of the drive caddy being plastic. Again, it feels sturdy enough but for the MSRP I would have expect that part to also be metal. They certainly went to great lengths to make it look like this thing is all metal when it isn't. Overall, I'd probably pass on this if I hadn't gotten it for a discount on Prime Day. As it is I still might consider returning it because the fact the cage case doesn't fit sort of impacts my planned rig build out. The drive caddy does look cooler than any other one I've found and if it was all metal and didn't obstruct the camera on the phone then I'd have said this rig was almost worth it just for that. Mixed bag, feel a little let down, but the concept and form factor is really comfortable and easy to use. It's an "almost" good product which is just... not quite there on functionality. Maybe if you have a smaller phone it's better.

Great design, iffy connection.
I really like the design and the grip really helps it feel like I'm holding a pro camera. My one gripe is that the USB-C connections feel a bit too loose to the point where I've had to try a couple different cables just to make sure that was the case. In the middle of filming I've had the unit disconnect completely only to reconnect when I jiggle the USB cable. Most of the time I get lucky and the unit will stay on when it's tripod mounted. I also have the same issue with the audio port (also a USB-C) doing the same thing. I really want to give this a higher rating because I like the overall look and idea. I may just have a faulty one too for all I know, but when it's not acting finicky the transfer rate is amazing and it definitely does record ProRes 4k footage straight to the drive just fine and I'm even able to edit right from the enclosure itself, but I just wish the connections were more solid.

Great iPhone grip with SSD expansion
This is a good grip with a secure mount for the phone. The grips makes the phone much more easier to grip and transfer with the SSD enclosure. The build quality is made of metal and feels very durable. This is a great value for the money for starting photographers.
