This is a product with very poor quality.- The finish looked like it was dabbed on with a sponge in some places- The finish was scratched in a couple places that can not be attributed to packaging or shipping- There were three small dents in it- The material used for the bottom half is very thin metal, so it would be easy to damage further, and very little weight to keep it steady.I'm not even going to attempt to put kerosene in this. I've notified Amazon of the issue and asked for return/replacement.Stay away from this one. Besides the poor quality and damage, when dealing with kerosene, you don't want something that could be a safety issue.

I got my lantern yesterday and love it. Pros are the price, the height or size is great as I want more bang for my buck! Its very elegant looking and brings that vintage charm in your room. Cons are I was shocked at how light as a feather it was which is a bummer to the buyer but your guests can't tell it. It is useless if you plan to actually burn it due to leakage. Advice is to do what I intended all along. I love Victorian furniture and this foot the bill in my Victorian living room. I simply added some blue beads and rustic white rocks inside the glass part to give it a slight touch that no one will expect. I'd recommend displaying it for decor not usage.

It's very pretty but I was a little disappointed with the quality.

These lamps look great in the picture. When they arrived, I was surprised at how light in weight they were - not much substance. They were banged up even though the package arrived padded and secure. Quite a few scrapes. It comes in three pieces - the glass dome, the stem, and the base. The felt on the bottom of the base arrived half peeled off. They look nice, just don't let anyone touch them to see how cheap they are.

I don't understand why this product only has three stars. This is a good lamp for the price. This is a light weight lamp and you can see that from the picture. Even the glass isn't as heavy as I thought it would be. In any case I like the lamp. I haven't used it yet due to I didn't buy any oil when I made my order. I'll sit in front of the class from now on. Thank you.

This product compared very well with the original lamps that we have. It is slightly smaller in the bowl size but has the correct size of wick thereby giving as bright a light as the original lamps. It has an improved method of removing the chimney for lighting which was found on only a very few more expensive original lamps.
