It Works!
It works, even for black flies in Maine! A light spray was all that was needed for 3 hours of kayaking in a remote and black fly infested lake in Acadia National Park.

No unwanted pests
Even though I bought this product 5 or 6 years ago, today was the first day I used it. I decided to go shooting at a nearby Wildlife Management Area that is heavily wooded, high grass, and there is both standing and flowing water near the area I go shooting. So today I remembered to take this with me and used it since the ticks in my area are at their highest in years. Usually I not only have to constantly keep swatting away deer flies and mosquitos, but also ticks. Well today I didn't have to worry about any of that and had a really good day out shooting and as the day continued to warm up and I began to sweat, the protection remained. You can't go wrong with 40% DEET, when all your other top brands at the time I bought this product were only offering 25% DEET in the products. All the years of using these other brands with less protection against pesky insects makes me wish I would have found this product sooner. I do see where these other brands have now started offering 40% DEET also, but after using the Coleman brand I will continue to use this brand and only this brand because I know it works.Pros: Cost, Ease of use, aerosol rather than spray pump, doesn't take your breath away like other brands when being applied, holds up well when sweating, literally kept everything from bothering meCons: wish I would have used it sooner, wish I would have found this product years ago

Bug free !
This repellent is one of the best I have used. It has a high amount of DEET, so I would be cautious in using this on small children, but it definitely works. Some of the others I feel leave a film on your skin, where this one doesn’t feel to bad in that department. Coleman has always made good outdoor products, and this one is no exception.

It's the greatest for Southern mosquitoes and "no-see'ums"!
I can get this when I need it from Amazon. I used to use another brand that I could only find at certain times of the year. I have found that this repellent is as good or better than the other brand and I can get it when I want it! Also, my Wife does not object to the scent. With the other stuff, she would smell it before I came thru the door!

Works great
This stuff is just great for keeping the ticks away and all the other annoying bugs. Well worth the money.

Let's face it, Deet works!
I had to be outside out in the woods earlier this summer, but I brought Deet-based bug spray, so I was prepared. Not really, it was only 7% Deet and even after applying it all over myself numerous times I was still getting eaten alive by mosquitos. I think that the military issued bug repellent is 30% Deet so I was looking for something with at least that much of Deet in it. I know that Deet can cause some serious health issues, but it'll repel mosquitos and ticks, which can carry some nasty diseases too. I tried this repellent recently. On the first day I only applied a small amount to my exposed skin (arms, hands, neck, & forehead), and I had no problems on any of those areas, but the mosquitos still got me by biting through my shirt (my jeans were probably too thick). The next day I did the same and also sprayed a little bit on my shirt as well and I had no problems at all. A little really will go a long way with this stuff. I would imagine that it might be irritating so be sure to keep it away from your eyes. It smells pretty bad at first, but either I got used to it or, more likely, the smell mostly dissipates once it dries. If you want serious protection from insects, look at this or any other 30-40% Deet based repellent.

It was the best insect repellent that I have bought. It keeps the mosquitoes and the nose sees away the rest of the stuff I bought with junk.
