Madison Avenue Vintage TR90 Progressive Multifocus Reading Glasses for Women, Blue Light Multifocal Computer Readers

I am absolutely blown away and amazed by these glasses. In the past, I have had prescription progressive glasses that my insurance paid for through my husband's work place. They cost roughly 700 dollars. Each year, I paid an additional 100 dollars out of pocket for insurance to replace them due to the fact within a very short time the glasses would always get scratched so bad I couldn't see through them. My husband retired two years ago. I dragged my heels for 2 years to not go back to the eye doctor to get my glasses replaced as I felt the cost of several hundred dollars was outrageous for glasses that usually lasted me weeks. My glasses were so badly scratched, I knew I had to be causing damage to my vision so I thought it was worth a try to look for alternatives. I thought, it can't be that I can get glasses online for this price and they would ever work but I thought for the price of roughly 20 dollars it was certainly worth a try. I literally couldn't believe my eyes when I got the Madison glasses and I put them on. I could see perfectly to read and I could see the television perfectly. I wear them outside and unlike my old scratched up prescription glasses I didn't have to take them off. I can see perfectly outside and I have noticed no problem seeing long distance. My property has mountain views, and I am always looking further out to enjoy the views. There is no blur either with longer distances with these glasses. I am simply beyond amazed that I see no difference at all between the Madison Progressive glasses and the several hundred dollar pair of prescription glasses provided to me by my eye doctor. I just love the style of these glasses as well. I ordered the pale brown. I have reddish, auburn, and dark blonde hair, and I am light skinned with gray eyes. The color of the frames are perfect with my hair, eye and skin color. I am over 60 and the large stylish frames I believe make me look far younger than the dark smaller frames I had. The lenses are clear on the glasses with no tint and I am very grateful for that. I will not block sunlight from my vision as sunlight is absolutely essential to good health and good vision. I haven't really noticed the blue light blocking of the lenses but I am happy they do block blue light to protect the health of my eyes as I am on a computer every day. I absolutely love these glasses. I can replace them often if they scratch. They are so economical I will never have to worry again that I have to risk damaging my eyes with scratched lenses, with the price they are easy to replace. I personally dab Dawn dish soap on the lenses and run them under a faucet, so they are easy to clean. I won't risk running a cloth over them in the event there is abrasive particles on them, as I don't want to scratch them. Did I say, I love these glasses? I am so beyond pleased that I can see clearly again, and I can protect my vision, with gorgeous stylish glasses at such a great price. I can't recommend these glasses highly enough!

I can't believe I finally found a pair of multifocal lenses that allow me to see clearly at a distance and also read well. I have been looking for glasses that function like this for over a year. I simply was not going to spend several hundred dollars with an ophthalmologist and I tried several brands that claim to be multifocal with a clear top but none of them worked. I found a couple of styles at that functioned all right but really looked bad on my face. But these are perfect. The lighter frame doesn't overwhelm my fear complexion and i don't have to keep putting them on and taking them off. I can look at people straight on and see them clearly and look down and read text on my phone screen perfectly. I know there's got to be a transition area in there but it's so well Incorporated you can't really tell it. They're comfortable to wear, the shape flatters my face, they work perfectly. And I love the bonus that they're blue light blocking.

These are perfect for close tasks like reading a book and working on my laptop, but not so good for distance. Wearing these while mending clothes and trying to watch TV, for example, is not ideal for me since I don't have any issues with my distance vision. I really appreciate the seamless transition between magnifications, though. These glasses look nice, fit well, and appear to be of decent quality.

These are cute and sturdy. Very clear. But I’ve never worn progressives before and didn’t really know what they were like or what the strength should be. It seemed like even the top of the lenses were not clear—-maybe it was user error on my part. But also, they seemed small—the viewing area and on my ears. They started giving me a headache even wearing on the top of my head. I’d also look again for glasses with spring hinges.

These are a game changer! No more taking readers off and on when watching TV and reading. Quality is nice and they work as they should.

These are my favorite readers! Will not buy any others. They look great and are very durable. I have two pairs and still going strong. Highly recommend.

Although cute, these glasses are not clear in the top plane of the lens. Looking straight ahead was disorienting, like wearing someone else's eyeglass prescription. If you are looking for readers that are clear on top but with magnification on the bottom, these are not for you.
