Great Blade for the price point!
The GTK36 is overall a great survival/camp knife. Came absurdly sharp out of the box, fits my hand really well, feels like it can take a beating and the price was right. Summary: Is the GTK36 Worth It? Steel: DC53 offers impressive toughness and edge retention at a lower cost. Build quality: Expect sturdy full-tang strength, sharp edge, and solid sheath retention. Value: Comparable knives in this range (~$25–40) are consistently praised by budget knife enthusiasts. Limitations: Needs routine maintenance for rust prevention, sheath and hardware prep, and is not ideal for extreme batoning or very wet environments without proactive care. Recommendations If you're after a tough, sharp, full-tang outdoor companion without splurging, the GTK36 seems like an outstanding value—especially for camping, bushcraft, hunting and skinning. To maximize its performance: Prep it: Lubricate, smooth handle edges, and customize sheath fit. Maintain it: Keep dry, oil regularly, and store in a dry place. Use it appropriately: Great for slicing, carving, camp chores. For heavy batoning, opt for a heavier-duty blade or carry an axe.

Excellent!
I really like the GTKii models. I have acquired and given their DC53 models some significant field testing, and I can’t wait to try this one out when there is a break in the weather. This model is kind of a modified Kukri/Recurve chopper that looks to be useful in many situations. Fit and finish are good, it came properly ground with a nice edge. The handles are the same type of GRN that they use in their other models, so it should be just fine - plenty of texturing to avoid slippage in wet weather, and just by eyeballing it I would see no reason for hot spot development after a long period of chopping. The sheath is nice, good fit with no rattle and a functional heavy duty nylon dangler/snap attachment so it shouldn’t ride too high at all. After I run some testing I’ll update, but it definitely passes the eyeball test. UPDATE: This knife performs really well as a camp chopper, the edge held up exceptionally well with no chips or rolls. I’m a believer!

Great Tool With One Issue
Good chopper. Not a Tops, but very good for the money. Sheath is good, but needs more retention for such a heavy blade. Heat gun should fix that. The hanger (green in the photographs) is garbage. Thin, soft plastic. Mine arrived already torn. Removal means drilling out rivets and replacing them with Chicago Screws. I'll probably fashion something so I can hang by a baldrick. This blade is heavy.

Big hunk of fine, sharp steel.
Fantastic knife! Heavy duty and well made. Didn't have any problem with the sheath. Push the knife all the way in.

Knife is awesome/ sheath was loose
I really liked the knife. It was well balanced, very sharp, comfortable to hold and priced right. It’s a shame the sheath did not provide enough retention. Minor quality issue that should have been caught before shipping. After I posted the review the seller reached out and wanted to make sure I got the product I wanted. I was sent another knife (same model) and this time the sheath has better retention. I was very impressed by the customer service and the fact that this seller cares and acted quickly to address the customer’s needs. Awesome knife and seller!

Zombie Slayer Extraordinaire
What's not to love about this beast. Especially at the price. Great comfortable grip, thick massive blade, nice sheath. Knife pops out of sheath easily with a good spot for you to use your thumb to release. Came pretty sharp. I did hit it with a sharpening steel and it's a super paper slicer now.

Total Beast of a Blade!!
Major Bang for your Buck!! I literally have hundreds of knives, yet this inexpensive knife really impressed me. I have a vast variety ranging from inexpensive, don’t care if I break or lose it, all the way up to some custom, handmade knives. The one thing all my knives have in common (besides being a knife) is that I USE them…ALL of them!! Lol This knife had great fit and finish, came pretty sharp and has a good, solid sheath. I haven’t had the chance to take it out into the woods yet, but I’m confident this AUS10 steel, as long as they did a good heat treatment on it, will handle all the torture I can throw at it! I love the overall look, size and steel so much I ordered a second as a gift. If for some reason I have any issues, I will come back and edit my initial review. I plan to upload some photos after I get out in the woods with it. I also ordered a few other knives (five total) from GTKii to try out. For this low of a price, you’ve really got nothing much to loose by taking a chance and giving these knives a try. I’m glad I did, and I plan on grabbing a few other models while on sale (and before the inevitable price hike). I look forward to reading other’s reviews as well. Update- This beast processed well seasoned wood with absolutely no issues!! A true Beast of a Blade that just happens to be very budget friendly!! Hands down, I highly recommend this knife!
