Honeywell Kaz Chillout 2-Speed Personal Fan, GF-55

This fan is very quite and does not bother anyone when in use. My son has no issues with sleeping with this fan on. Bought this instead of register vent fan. (not enough air flows through the vent in a bedroom. Basement is finished and cannot change the vent flows) Was looking at register vent fans and just decided they were to expensive and the reviews were mixed as to actual functionality. This fan has a perfectly flat back and fits well on a 4x10 vent. It performs the desired task of pulling cool air out of the vent and cooling the bedroom down better. Bedroom is generally two degrees cooler when this fan is running. I used small flat calendar magnets I had on the fridge to seal up the ends of the vent that the fan did not cover. I also cut out foam that fit around the fan that helped hold it in place and also seal the ends of the vent that the fan did not cover. Drawback would be that this fan does come on automatically when the AC kicks on. (however a lot of the register fans also have issues with this...) solution is that the fan runs 24x7. (low speed) Do not have an issue with pulling warm air out of the register. I checked the temperature throughout the day/night in the a/c vent before buying this and when the a/c was not running it was never higher than 70 degrees. Since the temperature that the a/c units is set at is higher than that, it never "warms" the room up. Very satisfied with the results.

Very quiet I love this fan!

Me encantó el producto es el segundo que adquiero en su versión más actual, el único inconveniente es que se mueve cuando está en la máxima velocidad y puede caerse si se pone en lo alto.

I used my previous Chillout fan for eight summers. When we needed a circulating fan last winter, we put it on a high shelf directed toward the ceiling and ran it 24-7 from late September through early April. When it warmed up again I continued to use it. I finally replaced it August 1st when it started to make some unpleasant noises. Like the previous unit, this is also a nice little fan. It puts out a good stream of air and is relatively quiet. These little guys are as close to bullet proof as you can get in a personal sized fan. I have only one very minor gripe with these fans. The control knob centrally located on the face is cone shaped. Though attractive, it's sometimes hard to grip one handed when the fan is sliding on a polished surface. This product would definitely benefit if the manufacturer molded a couple of flats on each side of the knob. Though inexpensive, this really is an exceptional product. As you may have guessed, I highly recommend it.
