If you are a big fan of Space Invaders, this is a great product. Look, sound, feel, the Pepper's Ghost Effect, it's all here for you to enjoy. Biggest problem is the price, as you can do a lot of other things with $300. Hopefully, Quarter Arcades will figure out how a reduce the overall price for future products. Perhaps a less expensive second edition.

If you loved Space Invaders as a kid, then this is the perfect gift to your adult self. It’s 1/4 size of the original, so is the next best thing to having a full size cabinet. Comes with a rechargeable battery and a lovely bright display. About the closest thing to owning the original game that you can get to!

Ich habe schon einige 1/4 von Numskull und freue mich dass es jemand versucht sie so gut wie möglich nachzubauen. Leider hat es speziell bei solchen Kleinserien immer mal minimale Qualitätsprobleme, welche in einer Massenproduktion nicht so auftauchen. Damit muss man leben können. Dafür würde speziell bei diesem Gerät sogar versucht die Besonderheit der originalen Darstellung nachzubilden. Und zwar wurde durch Projektion ein gemalter Hintergrund mit den computergenerierten Elementen kombiniert. Und diese Spezialität des alten Spielautomaten wurde hier in der 1/4 Umsetzung auch wieder umgesetzt! Sie hätten es sich einfach machen können. Haben sie aber nicht. Und für so viel Hingabe zum Detail zahle ich dann auch gerne etwas mehr.
