I don't what you mean about water proof, everything will wash away with water, I just sprinkle it at the ant hill and they are gone in a day, I live in the high desert of california. I love this stuff, it works great.

Q: My ants ignore this bait completely. They are not interested in sugar or p.n.butter either. What's the solution?

Are your ants outdoors? If yes, I'm at a loss to answer why they would not take the bait. I have used this product successfully for years. If your ants are indoors, you might try Boric Acid.

Q: Is this amdro's yellow type or the grey? (i've found big difference)

It is yellow cornmeal look and it really works the ants carry it back to where the queen is and the ants disappear and don't come back

Q: Has anyone used this around lizards or squirrels? Or would anyone use it around these critters?

I have used this product for a couple of years now. It works great. I sprinkle it around my home and around my yard perimeter. I have not seen a decrease in the gecko's/lizards so I assume they are ok. I don't think squirrels are attracted to it either. The product works great for about 45-60 days.
