A really heavy duty hidden hinge that is quite capable of supporting a full size hidden door and giving years of trouble free service. The instructions are somewhat baffling, but nothing the average DIYer can’t work out for themselves. Good value too.

So I bought this to build a hidden door in our basement—yep, totally trying to live out that secret bookshelf dream 😅. The hinge looks and feels solid, and it does seem like it’ll hold a good bit of weight (our door is maybe 45kg and it’s holding up fine so far). That said, this thing is not for the faint of DIY heart. The “instructions” that came with it were... let’s say “minimal.” I ended up watching a couple YouTube videos to figure out what went where and how deep to drill. Not impossible, just... not plug-and-play either. Once it was in though—honestly? Pretty slick. The pivot motion is super smooth and it really does give that hidden door feel. You can’t see the hinge at all once it’s installed properly. Bonus points for the adjustability on the pivot point—it saved my butt when the door wasn’t quite square. Just a heads-up: I’d recommend pre-drilling and double-checking alignment a few times. One wrong hole and it’s a mess to fix. 🙃 All in all, great hinge for the price—but be ready to spend a bit of time getting it right. If you’re handy, go for it.
