I picked up this CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Shampoo because my scalp gets dry easily and a lot of shampoos feel too stripping with regular use. After using it consistently, I’m really happy with how it performs. The formula is lightweight and easy to work through the hair, even though it doesn’t lather aggressively. It cleans well without that squeaky, dried-out feeling afterward. My hair feels soft, smooth, and comfortable once it’s dry, and my scalp doesn’t feel tight or irritated like it sometimes does with other shampoos. There’s no strong scent, which I appreciate, especially if you’re sensitive to fragrance or prefer something neutral. It also pairs well with other conditioners and styling products without causing buildup. Doesn’t cause excessive shine. Best shampoo! I no longer have to use an itchy scalp medicated shampoo. Turns out I just needed to use a gentle shampoo with no SLS! Sores and itchy scalp are gone! Hair is soft and I love that it's unscented!

Does a good job removing product buildup and oil! No itchiness or irritation on my scalp and the skin on my chest/ back tolerate it as well. I get that "squeaky clean" feeling on my hair if I shampoo twice, which is nice but I do think the hair tends to tangle more even with my regular conditioner. Decently color-safe-- definitely still get some color with the rinse-out, but it's not too bad. The scent isn't great-- kind of sunscreenish and weird, but it doesn't linger after I rinse it out. Overall, for the price, it's a good shampoo.

This shampoo has made a huge difference for my mom. I have extremely sensitive skin and it’s very hard for me to find a shampoo that I don’t react to. I have an allergy to a chemical in approximately 90% of lotions and shampoos so finding this shampoo that I did not break out from was fantastic! Not only do I not break out from it, but it truly makes my hair feel cleaned and fresh. I can now cut back on the expensive salon shampoos in place of this one.

Really like this for its ingredients and it is fragrance free. I have long hair and lots of it. This shampoo and conditioner tames, smooths and make my hair more manageable. It may seem like a higher price but you can use less of it because it foams up nicely.
