I picked up this CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Shampoo because my scalp gets dry easily and a lot of shampoos feel too stripping with regular use. After using it consistently, I’m really happy with how it performs. The formula is lightweight and easy to work through the hair, even though it doesn’t lather aggressively. It cleans well without that squeaky, dried-out feeling afterward. My hair feels soft, smooth, and comfortable once it’s dry, and my scalp doesn’t feel tight or irritated like it sometimes does with other shampoos. There’s no strong scent, which I appreciate, especially if you’re sensitive to fragrance or prefer something neutral. It also pairs well with other conditioners and styling products without causing buildup. Doesn’t cause excessive shine. Haven’t noticed any hair growth from this product but it’s doesn’t claim to increase growth. This is a great everyday shampoo if you want something gentle, moisturizing, and low-maintenance. If you’re looking for heavy clarifying or lots of foam, this may not be the best fit — but for keeping hair clean and healthy without dryness, it does exactly what it promises.

I love the CeraVe product line. The shampoo and conditioner are amazing, they really hydrate my hair without making it heavy or oily. They are truly hydrating. My hair looks so shiny and feels so soft. There is no perfume in this product just FYI.

Does a good job removing product buildup and oil! No itchiness or irritation on my scalp and the skin on my chest/ back tolerate it as well. I get that "squeaky clean" feeling on my hair if I shampoo twice, which is nice but I do think the hair tends to tangle more even with my regular conditioner. Decently color-safe-- definitely still get some color with the rinse-out, but it's not too bad. The scent isn't great-- kind of sunscreenish and weird, but it doesn't linger after I rinse it out. Overall, for the price, it's a good shampoo.

My dermatologist really did recommend this shampoo and the accompanying conditions. My scalp was dry, my hair breaking off and thinning out. Instagram let me know that I had low sebum, no hormones and needed really expensive custom treatments and vitamins. Well.... not so fast, after 1 month of use, I actually have a return to my hair volume, shine and bounce. The itch is gone and no more old lady fuzz! There is NO SCENT at all. This is great for me because I love to use a small amount of scented hair oil, so there is no scent competition. The men in my house love to use this shampoo as well and feel like their scalps and hair feel much better. Who knew? Clearly my dermatologist and CeraVe.

This shampoo is wonderful. Leaves hair soft and hydrated. Recommend even if you are not allergic to other shampoos. Itching is greatly decreased.

Really like this for its ingredients and it is fragrance free. I have long hair and lots of it. This shampoo and conditioner tames, smooths and make my hair more manageable. It may seem like a higher price but you can use less of it because it foams up nicely.
